Sullivan City Manager Assistant City Manager City Attorney City Clerk Board Reporter The Chair called the meeting to order at 1 :14 p.m. at City Hall. To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not necessarily discussed in that order. Approval of Minutes: Trustee Hamilton moved to approve the minutes of the January 18, 2005, meeting, as recorded and submitted in written summation by the City Clerk to each Trustee. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. Pension Trustee Items 1) Accept the employees listed below into membership in the City of Clearwater's Employees' Pension Plan: Gretchen Urquhart, Kathleen Rowett, Charles Scrivens, Theodore Magganas, David Wilson, and Sandra Doria. The Pension Advisory Committee recommended that these employees be accepted into membership in the City of Clearwater's Employees' Pension Plan. Trustee Jonson moved to accept the recommendation of the Pension Advisory Committee. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. 2) Joyce Geisel. Customer Service Department; Donna L. Gardner. Police Department; Gladys Youml. Customer Service Department; and Charles Cronin. Police Department. be aranted reaular pensions under Section(s) 2.393 and 2.397 of the Employees' Pension Plan as approved by the Pension Advisory Committee. Joyce Geisel, Customer Service Specialist, Customer Service Department, was employed by the City on ,June 29, 1981, and her pension service credit is effective on that date. Her pension will be effective January 1, 2005. Based on an average salary of approximately Pension Trustees 2005-02-14 . . . $40,376 per year over the past five years, the formula for computing regular pensions, and Ms. Geisel's selection of the Life Annuity, this pension will approximate $28,628 annually. Donna L. Gardner, Police Communications Operator, Police Department, was employed by the City on February 18, 1981, and her pension service credit is effective on that date. Her pension will be effective March 1, 2005. Based on an average salary of approximately $46,510 per year over the past five years, the formula for computing regular pensions, and Ms. Gardner's selection of the Joint & Survivor Annuity, this pension will approximate $30,696 annually. Gladys D. Young, Customer Service Representative, Customer Service Department, was employed by the City on August 24, 1992, and her pension service credit is effective on that date. Her pension will be effective January 1, 2005. Based on an average salary of approximately $29,192 per year over the past five years, the formula for computing regular pensions, and Ms. Young's selection of the Joint & Survivor Annuity, this pension will approximate $10,704 annually. Charles F. Cronin, Police Sergeant, Police Department, was employed by the City on January 7, 1985, and his pension service credit is effective on that date. His pension will be effective March 1, 2005. Based on an average salary of approximately $63,397 per year over the past five years, the formula for computing regular pensions, and Mr. Cronin's selection of the 100% Joint & Survivor Annuity, this pension will approximate $34,623 annually. Trustee Petersen moved that Joyce Geisel, Donna L. Gardner, Gladys D. Young, and Charles F. Cronin be granted regular pensions under Sections 2.393 and 2.397 of the Employees' Pension Plan as approved by the Pension Advisory Committee. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
