07/30/1990 TRUSTEES OF THE EMPLOYEES' PENSION FUND MEETING
July 30, 1990
The City Commission, meeting as the Board of Trustees of the Employees Pension Fund, met in regular session at City Hall, Monday, July 30, 1990 at 9:02 A.M., with the following members
present:
Rita Garvey Chairperson
Lee Regulski Trustee

Richard Fitzgerald Trustee
Sue Berfield Trustee
Also Present were:
Ron H. Rabun City Manager
Milton A. Galbraith, Jr. City Attorney
Cynthia E. Goudeau City Clerk
ITEM #2 - Minutes:
Trustee Fitzgerald moved to approve the minutes of the July 16, 1990, meeting. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
ITEM #3 - Request for Acceptance into Membership:
The City Manager presented the recommendation of the Pension Advisory Committee to approve membership for the employee(s) listed below:
a) James Zetty
b) Lewis Ingram
c) Barbara Hagen
d) Matthew Bishop
e) Madra Matthews
f) Beth Ann Hauser
g) Jeffrey Borden
h) Steven DeSimone
i) Richard Follett
Trustee Nunamaker moved to accept the recommendation of the Pension Advisory Committee. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
ITEM #4 - Request for Pension:
The City Manager presented the recommendation of the Pension Advisory Committee that the employee(s) listed below be granted a job-connected disability pension under Section(s) 26.35
and/or 26.27 of the Employees' Pension Plan.
Michael LaFollette
Mr. LaFollette sustained a left lower leg injury on 2/24/89 during the performance of his duties as a police officer. Despite recent physical therapy Mr. LaFollette has a 40-50% strength
deficit and experiences pain with walking. He fells unsafe in attempting to carry out street duty and has applied for disability pension.
Trustee Regulski moved to accept the recommendation of the Pension Advisory Committee. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
ITEM #5 - Request for denial of membership:
The City Manager presented the recommendation of the Pension Advisory Committee that the employee(s) listed below be denied membership in the Employees' Pension Plan.
Russell Dunning
Trustee Fitzgerald moved to accept the recommendation of the Pension Advisory Committee. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
ITEM # 6 - Pension(s) to be vested:
The City Manager presented the recommendation of the Pension Advisory Committee that the employee(s) listed below be permitted to vest his/her pension under Section 26.49 of the Employees'
Pension Plan.
David W. Miller
Trustee Regulski moved to accept the recommendation of the Pension Advisory Committee. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
