CITY OF CLEARWATER CULTURAL AFFAIRS DIVISION

1. Grant Purpose. This grant shall be used exclusively for "The City of Clearwater, in partnership with Ruth
Eckerd Hall, will renovate and expand the Capitol Theatre properties located in downtown Clearwater," the
public purpose for which these funds were appropriated.
1.1 Scope of Work: Matching Funds
Matching funds will be expended for services and materials for the construction, expansion and renovation of
the Capitol Theatre properties. These services and materials include:
1) Architectural services and engineering;
2) General site construction;
3) Specific site construction including: foundations, slabs, balconies and railings;
4) Doors and windows;
1.2 Scope of Work: State Funds
State Funds will be expended for services and materials for the construction, expansion and renovation of the
Capitol Theatre properties to include the following projects:
1) Replace, upgrade and install new lighting fixtures and controls;
2) Install new air conditioning system;
3) Replace, upgrade and install new electrical systems and wiring;
4) Remove old theatre seating and replace with new theatre seating;
5) Install new signage inside and outside theatre including new marquee;
6) Install new stage equipment;
7) Upgrade and /or replace flooring where necessary;
8) Paint interior and exterior;
9) Drywall, framing and insulation;
10) Install new audio /visual equipment and acoustic enhancements.
1.3 Deliverables for State Fund Expenditures
Deliverables — Payment 1
1) Electrical: New lighting fixtures and controls;
2) Mechanical: New air conditioning system;
3) Construction: drywall, framing and insulation
Deliverables — Payment 2
4) Electrical: New electrical systems and wiring including ticket office intercom
5) Doors & Windows: New doors and framing
Deliverables— Payment 3
6) Furnishings: Remove old seating and install new theatre seating;
7) Specialties: New interior and exterior signage including new marquee
8) Equipment: Install new stage equipment;
9) Finishes: New interior and exterior paint; New interior flooring;
Deliverables — Payment 4
10) Equipment: New audio /visual equipment;
11) Finishes: Acoustic treatments.
2. Length of Agreement. This Agreement shall begin July 1, 2013, and it shall end on April 1, 2015, unless
it is extended by written and signed amendment to this Agreement prior to expiration (22 months).
