10/31/1988 TRUSTEES OF THE EMPLOYEES' PENSION FUND MEETING
October 31, 1988
The City Commission, meeting as the Board of Trustees of the Employees Pension Fund, met in regular session at the City Hall, Monday, October 31, 1988, at 9:07 a.m., with the following
members present:
Rita Garvey Mayor/Commissioner
Lee Regulski Commissioner
Don Winner Commissioner
William Nunamaker Commissioner
Also present were:
Ron Rabun City Manager
Milton A. Galbraith, Jr. City Attorney
Cynthia E. Goudeau City Clerk
ITEM #2 - Minutes: Commissioner Winner moved to approve the minutes of the October 17, 1988, meeting. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
ITEM #3 - Request for Acceptance into Membership:
The City Manager presented the recommendation of the Advisory Committee to approve membership for five (5) employees listed below:

Mayor Garvey requested information regarding why Henry Propheter and Michael Kaelin were not placed on pension when first hired by the City. Mike Laursen, Personnel Director, indicated
Mr. Propheter had been under pension but had became a part-time employee and withdrew his contribution. Now that he is again a full-time employee, he is eligible to join the pension
plan as a new member. Mr. Laursen reported Mr. Kaelin had begun his employment as a part-time employee but became a full-time employee and therefore eligible for membership.
Commissioner Regulski moved to accept the recommendation of the Advisory Committee. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
ITEM #4 - Other Business:
Commissioner Winner questioned if the city was doing anything to inform the citizens regarding the 2 questions regarding the Pension Plan on the November 8, 1988 ballot. It was reported
the routine advertising had been accomplished. It was suggested a press release be done.
