Nunn, Sr. Committee Member Absent: Bradley Droy Committee Member Michael Flanery Committee Member Also Present: Tom Miller Assistant Director of Engineering – PD&E Miles Ballogg Economic Development Programs Manager Karma Killian Environmental Specialist Nina Clark Staff Assistant II The meeting was called to order at 3:30 p.m. ITEM A – Approval of Minutes Mr. Ballogg asked that on page 2 first paragraph, replace “tax review document” to “assessment and remediation document”. Member Carson moved to approve the minutes of July 26, 199 as amended. The motion was duly seconded by Member Gerard and carried unanimously. ITEM B – Brownfield Advisory Board Update Mr. Ballogg reported that he met with the Brownfields Advisory Board. He distributed a page taken from the statute book, which explained the role and purpose of the advisory committee. The advisory committee must review and summarize comments and present them to the Board, and the Board will then make recommendations to the Commission for their approval. Item C – New Business Mr. Miller advised that all the information contained in Phase 1 covering 1108 N. Greenwood is four years old, therefore, therefore, was not included in Phase II documentation. As requested by the Committee, Ms. Killian discussed the reports detailing the ongoing environmental activities at 1108 N. Greenwood, Phase II and welcomed any questions the Committee may have regarding Phase II. Member Gerard stated that before additional assessment work is done, a BSRA has to be in place. Member Harbison moved to recommend the development of a BSRA to be presented to the Brownfields Advisory Board -Technical Advisory Committee as soon as possible. The motion was duly seconded by Member Gerard and was carried unanimously. ITEM #D – Establish Meeting Date The next Technical Advisory Committee meeting will be held on September 27, 1999 at 3:30 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Center. The meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
