The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m. at the Municipal Services Building.
To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not necessarily discussed in that order.
ITEM #A - Approval of Minutes
Member Walker moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of January 9, 2002, as recorded and submitted in written summation to each board member. The motion was duly seconded
and carried unanimously.
ITEM #B - Continued Requests – None.
ITEM #C - New Requests
ITEM #C1 - 712 Eldorado Avenue, Clearwater: Robert & Cynthia Chapman, Owner: Robert Ray, P.A., Hoffman Architects, Representative. Request variance to Chapter 39 of the Standard Building
Code. Section 3906.2.2.2, to allow construction of exterior pressure-treated wood frame staircase and landing on shallow footings within the 18-foot seawall setback. Located in Mandalay
Sub. Block 2 Lot 4 & rip rts. & Portion of vac. st.
Parcel # 05-29-15-54666-002-0040. BAA 02-03
No one was present to represent the owner.
Discussion ensued regarding the request to allow construction of an exterior pressure-treated wood frame staircase and landing on shallow footings within the 18-foot seawall setback.
Concern was expressed the plans do not specify which structures are existing and what is planned. It was recommended the item be denied as the request needs clarification.
Member Shah moved to deny the requested variance for 712 Eldorado Avenue due to a lack of representation and explanation regarding the request. The motion was duly seconded and carried
unanimously.
