Central Permitting Assistant Director Vic Chodora said appellants are in the process of achieving compliance, having completed about 80% of the items on his list of unsafe conditions. Although notification has not been received, he felt the appeal may be withdrawn. General discussion ensued regarding deteriorated condition of the property. Mr. Chodora said the owners have done minimal corrections to keep the property off the unsafe building list, but have taken no action to improve the property for more than two years. Member Walker moved to continue consideration of Item C1, 630 Drew Street, to the next regular meeting. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. C2. 606 Court Street, Clearwater; WLE, Inc., Owners; Matthew Pearse, Representative. Parcel: 16-29-15-18648-000-0120 Representative Matthew Pearse said owners intend to demolish the structure on the subject property, along with structures on both sides of the subject property. He requested a 90-day time extension to allow time for tenants to vacate the two adjacent properties, enabling owners to demolish all three structures at once. Discussion ensued regarding tenancy, and timing for accomplishing the demolition. It was indicated the board does not typically grant extensions longer than 60 days. Mr. Pearse indicated 60 days would be sufficient to achieve compliance. Construction Inspector Bill Wright did not object to a 60-day extension, providing the deteriorated facade is secured. General discussion ensued regarding the property’s deteriorated condition. Member Corcoran moved to approve a 60-day extension for demolishing the structure at 606 Court Street, to meet Section 47.161 City Code of Ordinances regarding unsafe buildings, providing the deteriorated facade is secured or removed within one week of today’s hearing.
