ITEM #9 Conversation to Monocholoramines Presentation
Mr. Carrier introduced Mr. Steve Soltau, Water Superintendent, who gave a presentation on the City’s water supply and the conversation from chlorine to monochloramines, which will take
place May 1st, 2002. The two major goals are to provide a high-quality, safe drinking water supply and to meet the new EPA regulations.
Mr. Soltau suggested that after July the EAB members could take a tour of the water plant.
Information Items
ITEM #10 Stevenson Creek Watershed Management Plan
Rev. Jamieson asked if anyone had a chance to check the City Web site, which is very well
done. Mr. Carrier asked if anyone saw the St. Petersburg Times article on Stevenson Creek
that is on the Web site.
ITEM #11 Land Development Code___________________
Mr. Stowell had asked for a copy of the Land Development Code book. The City Clerk’s office decided not to establish the practice of giving out the Land Development Code books because
of the cost to keep them updated. The book is on-line, but Leslie Dougall-Sides expressed that it is difficult to research.
Mr. Carrier is following up on the possibility of obtaining one copy of the book for all the Board members to use as a reference guide.
Mr. Stowell passed out a copy of an editorial on the history of the EAB, and how and why this board was created.
ESTABLISH AGENDA:
Review Tree Ordinance – and have Alan Mayberry give a talk
