Board members developed a presentation to the City Manager demonstrating how the Environmental Advisory Board (EAB) visions and goals align with “One City. One Future.”, and projecting
how continued EAB existence can be useful to the City for the next 20 years. General discussion ensued regarding the historically proactive nature of the EAB.
The following handouts were distributed and discussed at length: 1) an essay titled, Clearwater’s Environment in 2018; 2) an open letter highlighting the nature and activities of the
EAB and its precursor, the Environmental Advisory Committee; 3) a partial list of EAB proactive work; and 4) a goals outline titled, EAB & “One City. One Future.”
The board examined each of the challenges and opportunities set forth in “One City. One Future.” and discussed, point by point, how the EAB can help Clearwater attain its goals for Clearwater
beach, Downtown, the Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard corridor, and the Greenwood neighborhoods.
Discussion ensued regarding how to present the material to Mr. Roberto for maximum impact and effectiveness. Ms. Gray will prepare a draft document summarizing today’s discussion, and
