THEY SHALL HAVEHEALTHY, WELL-DEVELOPED ROOT SYSTEMS.8.ALL PLANTS SHALL BE NURSERY GROWN STOCK AND SHALL COMPLY WITH ALLREQUIRED INSPECTIONS, GRADING STANDARDS, PLANT REGULATIONS ANDREQUIREMENTS FOR MEASUREMENT, BRANCHING, AND CULTURAL PRACTICES,AS SET FORTH IN THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE "GRADES ANDSTANDARDS FOR NURSERY PLANTS", PARTS I AND II, INCLUDING ANYREVISIONS AS DETERMINED BY THE STATE PLANT BOARD OF FLORIDA.9.ALL PLANTS SHALL BE HARDY UNDER CLIMATIC CONDITIONS SIMILAR TOTHOSE IN THE LOCALITY OF THE PROJECT.10.AS PER THESE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS, THE "HT." (HEIGHT) OFPROPOSED PLANT MATERIALS, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, SHALL MEANTHE ACTUAL DISTANCE AS MEASURED FROM THE SOIL STRESS MARK ORROOT FLAIR ON THE TRUNK OR BASE OF THE PLANT TO THE TOP ELEVATIONOF THE PLANT.11.ALL PLANTS SHALL CONFORM TO THE MEASUREMENTS FOR SIZE ASSPECIFIED IN THE PLANT LIST. EXCEPTIONS ARE PLANTS LARGER THANSPECIFIED IN THE PLANT LIST MAY BE USED IF APPROVED BY THE LANDSCAPEARCHITECT BUT, USE OF SUCH PLANTS SHALL NOT INCREASE THE CONTRACTPRICE. IF THE USE OF LARGER PLANTS IS APPROVED, THE SPREAD OF ROOTSOR BALL OF EARTH SHALL BE INCREASED IN PROPORTION TO THE SIZE OFTHE PLANT.12.WHEN PLANTS OF A SPECIFIED KIND OR SIZE ARE NOT AVAILABLE, AREASONABLE SUBSTITUTION MAY BE MADE UPON REQUEST IN WRITING BYTHE LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR, IF APPROVED BY THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT.13.THE LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY THE LOCATION OF ALLWORK AS SHOWN ON THE PLAN AND CONTACT THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTIMMEDIATELY OF ANY CONFLICTS AND ADJUST AS PER THE LANDSCAPEARCHITECT'S DIRECTION.14.THE LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR SHALL STAKE ALL PLANT MATERIAL LOCATIONSFROM THE PLANTING PLAN PRIOR TO INSTALLATION FOR APPROVAL BY THELANDSCAPE ARCHITECT.15.LOCATIONS, ELEVATIONS AND DIMENSIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES,STRUCTURES AND OTHER FEATURES ARE SHOWN ACCORDING TO THE BESTINFORMATION AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF THE PREPARATION OF THESEPLANS, BUT DO NOT PURPORT TO BE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.
