07/13/2005 - SPECIAL MEETING . . . CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING CITY OF CLEARWATER July 13, 2005 Present: William C. Goudeau City Manager Assistant City Manager City Attorney City Clerk The Vice-Mayor called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall. 2-Confirm a declaration of a state of emerqencv and establishing~emer.gencv procurement procedures; establishinq emerqencv emplovee work schedules and adopt Resolution #05-33 Due to the possible impacts of Hurricane Dennis, a state of emergency was declared on July 8, 2005. City Code requires the declaration be confirmed within five days. Councilmember Petersen moved to approve confirming a declaration of a state of emergency and establishing emergency procurement procedures and establishing emergency employee work schedules. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. . - The City Attorney reported she is bringing forward a Code amendment allowing this confirmation to be at the next regular meeting instead of within 5 days. Resolution #05-33 was presented and read by title only. Counciimember Doran moved to pass and adopt Resolution #05-33 and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same. The motion was duly seconded and upon roll call, the vote was: "Ayes": Jonson, Petersen, and Doran. "Nays": None. Absent: Hamilton and Hibbard.
