Location of all attached signs, proposed and existing (indicate whether to be removed).

E. WRITTEN SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS: (Code Section 3-1807.C)
Signage proposed as part of a Comprehensive Sign Program may deviate from the minimum sign standards in terms of numbers of signs per
business or parcel of land, maximum area of sign face per parcel of land and the total area of sign faces per business or parcel of land, subject to
compliance with the flexibility criteria outlined below. Monument signs, pursuant to Sections 3-1806.B.1.g and 3-18068.2 shaH not be eligible for
this program. As part of the program, aN sign types (freestanding, attached, windows, interior site directional, ete.) shaN be reviewed for the
business and/or the development parcel to achieve compliance in so far as possible with these current regulations. A master sign program for
shopping centers, including a6 out parcels, and office complexes shaN include aN types of signs for aN tenants/uses within the development parcel.
These will be reviewed as a Comprehensive Sign Program application.
AN existing and proposed signs must be architeCturaHy integrated into the design of the building and/or site using similar and coordinated design
and style features, materials and colors, ete. Attached signs shalJ be horizontaHy and verticaHy proportionately located on each ftK;ade with no
protrusions above roof lines, over windows, trim, comices or other building features.
Q Provide complete responses to the COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PROGRAM CRITERIA including how the criteria are met:
1. Architectural Theme. The design, character, location and/or materials of all freestandina and attached signs proposed
in a comprehensive sign program shall be demonstrably more attractive than signs otherwise permitted on the parcel
proposed for development under the minimum signs standards. All signs must be architecturally integrated into/with the
design of the building and/or site using similar and coordinated design features, materials and colors, etc.

Dear Mr. Cozza:
On January 10, 2003, the Planning Staff reviewed your application for a Comprehensive
Sign Program to increase the area of a proposed freestanding sign from 20 square feet
(maximum permitted under Minimum Development Standards) to 29.86 square feet (less
than the maximum of 100 square feet or one half the lot width). The sign will be a
maximum of 6.5 feet in height which includes a sand-colored base 1.5 feet in height and
will located on the west side of the site along Gulf to Bay Boulevard. The sign will read
"DRIVEN IMAGE Renting the World's Greatest Cars" in black and red letters on a white
background. The address will be located on the base in black letters. An existing
attached sign, eight square feet in area, located on the south fa~ade of the existing
building reads "RENTALS" in white letters on a black background and meets the
requirements of Code and will remain. The application for the Comprehensive Sign
Program has been approved for the sign as submitted.
Pursuant to Section 4-303, an application for a building permit shall be made within one
(1) year of the date of this Development Order (January 24,2004). All required building
approvals shall be obtained within one (1) year of the date of issuance of the initial
building permit. Permitted time frames do not change with successive owners.
The issuance of this Development Order does not relieve you of the necessity to obtain
any building permits or pay any fees that may be required. In order to facilitate the
issuance of any permit or license affected by this approval, please bring a copy of this
letter with you when applying for any permits or licenses that require this prior
development approval.

PROJECT DESCR! PTION: Comprehensive Sign Program to increase the area of a proposed freestanding sign from

address will be located on the base in black letters. An existing attached sign, eight square feet in area,located on the
south faeade of the existing building reads "RENTALS" in white letters on a black background and meets the
requirements of Code and will remain.
