Slgnage proposed as part of a Comprehensive Sign Program may deviate from the minimum sign standards In terms of numbers of signs per
business or parcel of land, maximum area of sign face per parcel of land and the total area of sign faces per business or parcel of land,
subject to compliance with the flexibility criteria outlined below. Monument signs, pursuant to Sections 3-1806.8.1.g and 3-18068.2 shall not
be eligIble for this program. As part of the program, all sign types (freestanding, attached, windows, interior site directional, etc.) shall be
reviewed for the business andlor the development parcel to achieve compliance in so far as possibie with these current regulations. A master
sign program for shoppIng centers, including all out parcels, and office complexes shall include all types of signs for all tenantsluses within
the development parcel. These will be reviewed as a Comprehensive SIgn Program application.
All existing and proposed signs must be architecturally integrated into the design of the building and/or site using sImilar and coordinated
design and styla features, materials and colors, etc. Attached signs shall be horizontally and vertically proportionately located on each fat;ade
with no protrusions above roof lines, over windows, trim, cornices or other building features.

RE: Development Order regarding case SGN2002 11001 at 333 Gulfview Boulevard
Dear Mr. Dodge:
On December 16, 2002, the Planning Staff reviewed your application for Comprehensive Sign
Program to increase the area of permitted attached signage from 20 square feet to 72.03 square
feet. The site includes two existing signs each 24 square feet in area located on the west facade.
One sign consists of white letters located directly on a red awning which reads "ICE
CREAM/PIZZA". The second sign consists of a cabinet sign which reads "URI'S BEACH
STYLE" in yellow letters on a red background with blue logo. The cabinet sign will need to be
removed and replaced with white letters located directly on the awning as a condition of
approval of this comprehensive sign program. The proposal includes three additional signs
totaling 48.03 square feet, all located on the west fa~ade of the building, which will bring the
total area of attached signage to 96.03 square feet (5.9 percent of the building fa~ade). One sign
will be located on the end of the red canopy located over the stairs leading to the second floor of
the building and will read "Skyline CHIT..! EST. 1949" in yellow and white letters on a blue, city
skyline background and will be 15.70 square feet in area. A second sign will be located on the
south side of the same canopy and will read "SKYLINE CHll..I" in white letters on a red
background and will be 24 square feet. A hanging sign will be located under the canopy directly
over the stairs and will read "It's Skyline Time" with an arrow on a blue background and will be
8.33 square feet in area. The previously approved projecting sign for "Key Largo Bar & Grill"
will be removed. The application for the Comprehensive Sign Program has been approved with
the condition that the sign for "Uri's Beach Shop" be removed and replaced with white letters
located directly on the red awning prior to the issuance of any sign permits
Pursuant to Section 4-303, an application for a building permit shall be made within one (1) year
of the date of this Development Order (January 14,2004). All required building approvals shall
be obtained within one (1) year of the date of issuance of the initial building permit. Permitted
time frames do not change with successive owners.

RE: Development Order regarding case SGN2002-11 00 1 at 333 Gulfview Boulevard
Dear Mr. Dodge:
On December 16, 2002, the Planning Staff reviewed your application for Comprehensive Sign
Program to increase the area of permitted attached signage from 20 square feet to 72.03 square
feet. The site includes two existing signs each 24 square feet in area located on the west facade.
One sign consists of white letters located directly on a red awning which reads "ICE
CREAM/PIZZA". The second sign consists of a cabinet sign which reads "URI'S BEACH
STYLE" in yellow letters on a red background with blue logo. The cabinet sign will need to be
removed and replaced with white letters located directly on the awning as a condition of
approval of this comprehensive sign program. The proposal includes three additional signs
totaling 48.03 square feet, all located on the west fa~ade of the building, which will bring the
total area of attached signage to 96.03 square feet (5.9 percent of the building fa~ade). One sign
will be located on the end of the red canopy located over the stairs leading to the second floor of
the building and will read "Skyline CHILI EST. 1949" in yellow and white letters on a blue, city
skyline background and will be 15.70 square feet in area. A second sign will be located on the
south side of the same canopy and will read "SKYLINE CHILI" in white letters on a red
background and will be 24 square feet. A hanging sign will be located under the canopy directly
overthe stairs and will read "It's Skyline Time" with an arrow on a blue background and will be
8.33 square feet in area. The previously approved projecting sign for "Key Largo Bar & Grill"
will be removed. The application for the Comprehensive Sign Program has been approved with
the condition that the sign for "Uri's Beach Shop" be removed and replaced with white letters
located directly on the red awning prior to the issuance of any sign permits
Pursuant to Section 4-303, an application for a building permit shall be made within one (1) year
of the date of this Development Order (January 14,2004). All required building approvals shall
be obtained within one (1) year of the date of issuance of the initial building permit. Permitted
time frames do not change with successive owners.
