The intent of the Comprehensive Sign Program is to provide private property owners and businesses with
flexibility to develop innovative. creative and effective signage and to improve the aesthetics of the City of
Clearwater.' Signage which is proposed as part of a Comprehensive Sign Program may deviate from the
minimum sign standards in tenns of numbers of signs per business or parcel of land. maximum area of sign
face per parcel of land and the total area of sign faces per business or parcel. subject to compliance with the
following Flexibility Criteria. The use of site plans. sections/elevations. renderings and perspectives may
necessary as supplementary infonnation in addition to the infonnation provided on this worksheet:
1. Architectural Theme.
a. The signs proposed in a Comprehensive Sign Program shall be designed as a part of the architectural theme
of the principal buildings proposed or developed on the parcel proposed for the development and shall be

The intent of the Comprehensive Sign Program is to provide private property owners and businesses with
flexibility to develop innovative, creative and effective signage and to improve the aesthetics of the City of
Clearwater.. Signage which is proposed as part of a Comprehensive Sign Program may deviate from the
minimum sign standards in terms of numbers of signs per business or parcel of land, maximum area of sign
face per parcel of land and the total area of sign faces per business or parcel, subject to compliance with the
following Flexibility Criteria. The use of site plans, sections/elevations, renderings and perspectives may
necessary as supplementary information in addition to the information provided on this worksheet:
1. Architectural Theme.
a. The signs proposed in a Comprehensive Sign Program shall be designed as a part of the architectural theme
of the principal buildings proposed or developed on the parcel proposed for the development and shall be
constructed of materials and colors which reflect an integrated architectural vocabulary for the parcel
proposed for development.

Program to increase the area of a proposed attached sign from 10 square feet to 19.9 square feet.
The sign will read "Draper's & Damon's" with decorative trim beneath (the trim is a decorative
accent of the shopping plaza and is not calculation towards the allowable sign face). The
application for the Comprehensive Sign Program has been approved for the one attached sign as
submitted (attached).
Pursuant to Section 4-303, an application for a building permit shall be made within one (1) year
of the date of this Development Order (January 25, 2002). All required building approvals shall
be obtained within one (1) year of the date of issuance of the initial building permit. Permitted
time frames do not change with successive owners.
Please be aware that the issuance of this Development Order does not relieve you of the necessity
to obtain any building permits or pay any fees that may be required. In order to facilitate the
issuance of any permit or license affected by this approval, please bring a copy of this letter with
you when applying for any permits or licenses that require this prior development approval.
