Re: Sil!nal!e For "Savannah Trace Apartment Homes"
Mr. Reynolds:
-
I am enclosing a proposal for signage at the Savannah Trace Apartments, formerly known as
MacArthur Park Apartments & Townhomes. This proposal includes two entry signs on opposite ends
of the Apartment Community.
At the present time, there is an existing Sign (#1), as noted. We would like to remove the old sign
and replace it with a stucco type sign on an angle in the flower bed. This would have a 7 foot setback
from the property line and would become a one-sided sign.
Sign (#2) is located at the end of the property where there was construction done recently. We would
propose to take the existing wall that runs down at an angle and add block to it to straighten it. After
that portion is modified, we would do stucco overlays, as in the drawing, to resemble Sign (#1). The
existing wall is 18 inches from the property line and the sign lettering would be 5 feet behind the
property line.
I realize that a lot of these drawings are rough, but they are being used for a preliminary submittal. If
any engineering or other items are needed, please contact me or Mr. Ruvin Oded.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Mr. Oded,
Provided here is an updated set of comments to your Comprehensive Sign Program application. These comments are in
response to what was provided as a submittal by Ron Bowker of River City Advertising.
1. Re-state your request in clear detail for item # 4 on page 3 of the Comprehensive Sign Program application
form. Be as clear as possible in stating the number of signs, type of sign, dimensions, and location.
2. Clearly show all proposed signage on the site plan, to scale.
3. Show visibility triangles. What was submitted is not clear.
4. Label the five foot setback for each sign proposed.
5. The proposed sign specification sheet needs to be in color and indicate height, dimensions (with dimensional
arrows), and sign area. Indicate sign materials and if there is to be any illumination.
6. Provide your computations as to how the proposed sign height and area was determined.
7. Show all existing signs, signs to remain, and signs to be removed with all dimensions.
8. Provide a landscaping plan for the proposed signage. The monument signs will need to located within a 12
square foot area.
9. The address number will need to be at the base of the monument sign.
10. Any photographs to be re-submitted need to be in color.
11. It is unclear from your submittal as to what the last three sheets are indicating.
12. Organize your submittal materials so that what you are presenting can be easily located and reviewed. I can
show you examples of organized Comprehensive Sign Program submittals.
Please provide Ron Bowker's e-mail address to me. Please contact me with any questions.
Thank you.
