09/15/1988 COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY September 15, 1988 The City Commission met as the Community Redevelopment Agency at the City Hall, Thursday, September 15, 1988, at 6:00 p.m., with the following members present: Rita Garvey Mayor/Commissioner James Berfield Vice-Mayor/Commissioner Lee Regulski Commissioner Don Winner Commissioner William Nunamaker Commissioner Also Present were: Ron H. Rabun City Manager M. A. Galbraith, Jr. City Attorney Cynthia E. Goudeau City Clerk ITEM #2 - MINUTES: Commissioner Regulski moved to approve the minutes of the July 7, 1988 meeting. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. ITEM #3 - 1988-89 Budget: The tax increment revenues for the next fiscal year are projected at $660,000. Proposed expenditures include existing bond issue debt service, transfers to the parking system for the Coachman Building Project and Saturday parking, and an administrative transfer to cover the cost of the proposed office of Economic Development. It is recommended that the remaining funds be used for further land acquisitions within the Redevelopment area, the specific site is to be determined during the fiscal year. In response to a question, it was indicated the parking garages are reaching capacity and addition of floors to the Garden Avenue garage should be considered in the near future. Commissioner Regulski moved to adopt the proposed 1988-1989 budget for operations of the Redevelopment Agency. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. ITEM #4 - Appointment to Downtown Promotional Advisory Committee: Mr. Bill Berg has moved from the area and will no longer be eligible to serve on the Community Redevelopment Agency Downtown Promotional Advisory Committee. Mr. Terry Flowers has expressed an interest in being appointed to fill the vacancy. Commissioner Berfield moved to appoint Terry Flowers upon receipt of Mr. Berg's resignation. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. ITEM #5 - OTHER BUSINESS: None ITEM #6 - ADJOURNMENT: 6:04 p.m.
