Old Florida June 13,2005
1. Interesting meeting on the Old Florida District.
2. The thing that was most puzzling was the comments about taking away existing
rights of property owners. I wondered based on the historical land development
pattern why weren't more people building to the design limits.
3. I pulled the zoning regulations for old Florida before the current code.
a. I found that the current code collapsed CB (Beach Commercial), CR24
(Resort Commercial 24) and CR28 (Resort Commercial 28) into the
current T (Tourist) District.
b. I prepared the attached chart that I wanted to share with you along with the
Zoning map.
