8530-14ORDINANCE NO. 8530-14 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED GENERALLY EAST OF US 19 AND WEST OF EL TRINIDAD DRIVE, NORTH OF STATE ROAD 590 AND SOUTH OF SUNSET POINT ROAD (STATE ROAD 576), CONSISTING OF PORTIONS OF SECTION 5, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH, RANGE 16 EAST, WHOSE POST OFFICE ADDRESSES ARE 1819 CARLTON DRIVE, 2743/2745 SOUTH DRIVE, 2751/2753 SOUTH DRIVE, 2718 WOODRING DRIVE, 2715 WOODRING DRIVE, 1801 SKYLAND DRIVE, 1881 DIANE DRIVE, 2719 MORNINGSIDE DRIVE, 2725 MORNINGSIDE DRIVE, 1761 OWEN DRIVE, 1753 LUCAS DRIVE AND 1750 EVANS DRIVE, ALL IN CLEARWATER, FLORIDA 33759, TOGETHER WITH CERTAIN ABUTTING RIGHTS OF WAY OF: MORNINGSIDE DRIVE, WOODRING DRIVE, DIANE DRIVE, SOUTH DRIVE AND EVANS DRIVE, INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID ADDITION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the owners of the real property described herein and depicted on the map attached hereto as Exhibit B have petitioned the City of Clearwater to annex the property into the City pursuant to Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, and the City has complied with all applicable requirements of Florida law in connection with this ordinance; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following- described property is hereby annexed into the City of Clearwater and the boundary lines of the City are redefined accordingly: See attached legal descriptions, Exhibit A. (ATA2013- 11002) The map attached as Exhibit B is hereby incorporated by reference. Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance are found and determined to be consistent with the City of Clearwater Comprehensive Plan. The City Council hereby accepts the dedication of all easements, parks, rights -of -way and other dedications to the public, which have heretofore been made by plat, deed or user within the annexed property. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning and Development Director are directed to include and show the property described herein upon the official maps and records of the City. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption. The City Clerk shall file certified copies of this ordinance, including the map attached hereto, with the Clerk of the Circuit Court and with the County Administrator of Pinellas County, Ordinance No. 8530 -14 Florida, within 7 days after adoption, and shall file a certified copy with the Florida Department of State within 30 days after adoption.
