FLS2013-11039Explanation for Request for Flexible Standard Development Application The request for Flexible Standard is being made so that the existing property may be subdivided into two half acre parcels. History: April 1994 Charles L. and Linda A. Attardo, the applicants, purchased the half acre property at 3081 Crest Dr., Clearwater, Fl. At that time it was located in unincorporated Pinellas County. The rear setback from the pool screen to the property immediately south was 6.3 feet. August 2006, Charles and Linda Attardo purchased an additional half acre immediately behind and South of their existing property and joined that parcel to their existing parcel. January 2010 The Crest development was annexed into The City of Clearwater. August 2413 Chaxles and Linda Attardo accepted an offer from Russell and Ann Witt to purchase the southern half acre of the Attardo property. The Witt's own a half acre with their residence immediately East of the half acre they have offered to buy. That parcel is the original parcel from which the Attardo's South half acre was purchased in 2006. Request: It is proposed that the Attardo one acre property be subdivided along the exact same line as where it was joined in 2006. This subdivision would re-create the 6.3 foot setback along the rear of the existing pool screen, the same as it was prior to the 2006 joining. There are bushes behind the pool screen to shield the screen from the southern half acre. No other properties are directly affected. The pool screen extends for 60 feet. The entire rear boundary is 137 feet.
