While we appreciate that Heritage Insurance Holdings and Skye Lane Property are actively seeking improvements to their properties on McCormick Drive; their request for such a substantial increase in parking spaces and paved area lsnf concern tous for several reasons. 1—VVe are concerned that additional vehicular traffic and pedestrians along McCormick Drive may present a problem in the form of increased road noise, congestion, and litter. 2—VVeapeconcernad that additkoRW} pave darea may resubina great8r risk 0fk}ca|ized flood (Og aDdVven2mxJ0dehngH[ any type of flooding and drainage study has already been performed indicating the drainage and runoff impact ofthe additional paved area; or if such a study and appropriate drainage will be coordinated as part of the redevelopment project; should it be allowed to move forward. 3 —We are concerned that the notification did not provide any type of blueprints, design elevation drawings, or other diagrams indicating the layout of the proposed new parking lot redevelopment. It may put us at ease somewhat ifvve had auiuuaUzmtionofwhmt they intend todo. |f possible, vve would appreciate copies o[ any and all diagrams that were submitted to the City of Clearwater regarding this application. 4 —We are concerned that the mature trees and foliage currently acting eaa green space buffer along McCormick Drive may bedanmagedor removed inwhole oriqpaKtdudNg thispnDC8SSaDd would |hket8 see BSsuraOCeS that, 8t a minimum, the majority ofthe green space and trees would remain unaffected during cUMst[oCik3D. |f we're reading the legal language in the notice correctly; it appears that they do not intend to expand their parking areufurthertovvard K4cCqrmiok Drive; but on|ytothe North tovVerdthe adNamemt Dlmmnit pro pertyamd West toward US 19; hovveverm/e are concerned there may be construction related damage ko the foliage along McCormick Drive, Due n&the minimal isthCdetails provided in the we feel we are unable to reach a fully educated decision at this time and therefore are generally against approval nf this issue until such time as additional details can bmprovided. As we are both employed full-time.; we will most likely be unable to attend the schpduled hParing on Tuesday, September 17"'; however we would appreciate it being noted for the record that clue to lack of details, and the additional concerns expressed above, vvgare against approval Vf the proposed development at this time. Box 4748 Clearwater FL 3375O-4748 Re: Issue FLD2&I3-06022 Dear Mr. Nurnbeqger, We are writing regarding Heritage Insurance Holdings, LLC & Skye Lane Property's request for Flexible Development appUoetlomto allow expansion rftfiuparking area mfon existing office (FLD2O13' 06022). There will be a hamhn0 1pm Tuesday, September 27^ 2013 regarding this issue, which unfortunately we cannot attend due to work constraints. In this letter we vvmu|d therefore like to express our adamant request of the City hn not approve this application. We believe that this request, if granted, oevanm|y diminishes the value of our property (as it backs right uptu our property bmundmry), and additionally the value ufthe entire neighborhood (Lake Chautauqua Estates), VVe also feet the above proposed expansion of the parking area would have an adverse effect mnour home environment given that we would now be directly exposed to 24 hour parking lot lighting, increased noise levels (from both the increased volume of cars using the parking lot, and from the fact that there vvoo|d no longer be a nature buffer from USIgtrahKc), and /ocnoexed pultution levels from the close proximity of the cars using the parking lot. Accordingly, we therefore feel this request, if permitted, would grant an unjust encroachment on our property. We would also like to highlight that this proposed expansion of the parking area would also diminish the local wildlife and agriculture as their request would eliminate landscaping buffer and create excess noise. We respectively request the City of Clearwater to deny Heritage Insurance Holdings, LLCQSkye Lane Property's expansion reque5t.
