The landscaping for the Pinellas County Clearwater CEP building has been designed in coordination with the building architect to complement and provide landscaping in scale with the building. All four sides of the building will receive extensive landscaping which will be over and above that required by code. 2. No lighting is being proposed as part of the landscape program. All lighting will be provided by the architect and will be associated with the building. 3. The landscape treatment in the Comprehensive Landscape Program will enhance the community character oP the City of Clearwater. Oak trees are proposed on the west and south sides of the project and crape myrtles are proposed on the east side where there are existing overhead power lines. Date Palms and crape myrtles are proposed on the north building fa�ade to accentuate the undulating architectural lines of the structure. Jasmine will be trained on wall trellises on the north building fa�ade as well. The entire building will be surrounded by an extensive planting of flowering shrubs, ornamental grasses and groundcovers. 4. The landscape treatment proposed will have a beneficial impact on the property values in the immediate vicinity of the proposed project. The landscaping will be much more extensive than what is currently located on the property. The property is cunently an existing parking lot. Redevelopment of the property will add visual appeal with the proposed architectural features of the building and the additional landscaping. 5. The project does not front any special area or scenic conidor although it is visible from Chestnut Street to the north across an intervening parking lot. The distinctive undulating architectural elements and color scheme of the building along with the landscaping has been designed to be consistent with and enhance the Chestnut Street Scenic Corridor.
