TRUSTEES OF THE EMPLOYEES' PENSION FUND MEETING MINUTES

The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. at City Hall.
To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not
necessarily discussed in that order.
Approval of Minutes
– October 17, 2005
Trustee Hamilton moved to approve the minutes of the October 17, 2005,
meeting as submitted in written summation by the City Clerk to each Trustee. The
motioncarried
was duly seconded and unanimously.
1. Accept the employees listed into membership in the City of Clearwater's Employees'
Pension Plan: Julia Babcock, Planner I/Planning; Perteio Arizala DeGuzman, Solid
Waste Worker/Solid Waste; Timothy McVey, Solid Waste Worker/Solid Waste; Sean
Flynn, Fire Medic/Fire, James Boise, Tradesworker/Parks & Recreation; Christopher
Malone, Survey Assistant I/Engineering; John Warner, Customer Service
Rep./Development & Neighborhood Services; Lisa Kothe, Librarian I/Library; David
Ruch, Parks Service Technician I/Parks & Recreation; and Joseph Bolle, Parks Service
Technician I/Parks & Recreation.
The Pension Advisory Committee recommended these employees be accepted
into membership in the City of Clearwater’s Employees’ Pension Plan.
Trustee Jonson moved to accept the recommendation of the Pension Advisory
motioncarried
Committee. The was duly seconded and unanimously.

2. Terry C. Naumann, Police Sergeant, Police Department; Randall A. Bacher, Fire
Division Chief, Fire Department; Raymond E. Cunningham, Fleet Mechanic, General
Services Department; and Barbara Taggart, Staff Assistant, Public Utilities Department,
be granted regular pensions under Section(s) 2.393 and 2.397 of the Employees’
Pension Plan as approved by the Pension Advisory Committee.
Terry C. Naumann, Police Sergeant, Police Sergeant, Police Department, was
employed by the City on July 12, 1982, and her pension service credit is effective on
that date. Her pension will be effective October 1, 2005.
Based on an average salary of approximately $79,878 per year over the past
five years, the formula for computing regular pensions, and Ms. Naumann’s selection of
the 50% Joint &Survivor Annuity, this pension will be approximately $47,878 annually.
Randall A. Bacher, Fire Division Chief, Fire Department, was employed by the
City on January 6, 1986, and his pension service credit is effective on that date. His
pension will be effective February 1, 2006.
Based on an average salary of approximately $69,827 per year over the past
five years, the formula for computing regular pensions, and Mr. Bacher’s selection of
the 100% Joint & Survivor Annuity, this pension will be approximately $38,162 annually.
Raymond E. Cunningham, Fleet Mechanic, General Services Department, was
employed by the City on January 2, 1974, and his pension service credit is effective on
that date. His pension will be effective November 1, 2005.
Based on an average salary of approximately $43,820 per year over the past
five years, the formula for computing regular pensions, and Mr. Cunningham’s selection
of the 100% Joint & Survivor Annuity, this pension will be approximately $37,585
annually.
Barbara L. Taggart, Staff Assistant, Public Utilities Department, was employed
by the City on August 26, 1985, and her pension service credit is effective on that date.
Her pension will be effective October 1, 2005.
Based on an average salary of approximately $33,332 per year over the past
five years, the formula for computing regular pensions, and Ms. Taggart’s selection of
the Joint & Survivor Annuity, this pension will be approximately $15,955 annually.
Trustee Petersen moved that Terry C. Naumann, Police Sergeant, Police
Department; Randall A. Bacher, Fire Division Chief, Fire Department; Raymond E.
Cunningham, Fleet Mechanic, General Services Department; and Barbara Taggart,
Staff Assistant, Public Utilities Department be granted regular pensions under Sections
2.393 and 2.397 of the Employees’ Pension Plan as approved by the Pension Advisory
