(3) Applicability.
(a) In general. All parking lots, parking spaces and loading spaces provided after October
13, 1985, whether such spaces are required under the terms of this Code or not, shall be
constructed consistent with the standards contained in this section. Any existing
unimproved. parking lot which is to be paved and any existing paved parking lot which
is to be either restriped in a manner different from that previously approved, resurfaced
or resealed shall be subject to all standards cor,�tajnerdu in this section, unless such
standards are determined to be impractical and specifically waived by the t+ W

(4) Design standards. All parking lots shall be designed to meet the following standards:
(a) Offstreet parking spaces, including aisles, shall be designed in accordance with the
standards identified in the following table. Any adjustment of the standards contained
in the table shadl require the approval of the cjV 44ffike engineer. Furthiermore, larget

2. Grass surface oDtional. Parking lots which serve the following uses may have
a turf block or outer grass parking s-urface consistent with the terro
contained in this section. Urdess otherwise specified. irk this section, this surfacing
technique re ay be utilized only on parking spaces, not on d aisles which give access to
to spaces. All such spaces shall be remotely located Wit;-I respect to the use they serve,
shall be irtaintained so as to present a neat and healthy appearance, and shall be subject

(6) Offstreet parking spaces.
(d) Schedule, The following shall be the minimum number of offstreet parking spaces
required for each land use, activity, building or structure permitted by this development code. WheIn the
determination of the nurhber of required offstreet parking spaces results in a requirement,of a fractional
space, any fraction less than one-half space shall be rounded down to he nearest whole number an-!I any
fraction of one-half space or more shall be rounded up. Parking spaces required on.the basis of bIlUding
floor area shall apply to gross floor area unless otherwise specified. Parking spaces required for

employees shall be based on the maximum number of employees or duty or residing, or both, on th
premises at any onetime, which would include any overlap of employees at a change of shift.
