for 30 days. To obtain current watering restrictions call SWFWMD at

The City of Clearwater has initiated a landscape reinspection
program which will affect all commercial sites with approved
landscape plans filed with the City of Clearwater. This courtesy
letter is to serve as notification that you or your organization
owns property which is included in this program.
The Environmental Management Group will be conducting site
.inspections to determine compliance with the city Beautification
Plot Plan, Sec.131.221 effective December,1981 and Land Development
Code, Sec. 136.023 effective October 14,1985. If the initial
inspection finds the site in compliance no further action will be
taken. However, if the site is found to be in noncompliance you
will be given an opportunity to bring the site into compliance.
Failure to do so will result in a notice of violation being issued
to the present owner or owners. The violation will explain the
code(s) violated, nature of violations and required correction
date. Failure to correct the listed violations by the date
indicated will result in legal action by the Municipal Code
Enforcement Board of the City of Clearwater. (Sec.162.06 (2) F.S.).
This program is intended to improve the appearance of off
street parking lots and other vehicular use areas, to protect and
preserve the appearance and value of the surrounding neighborhoods,
to improve the urban and natural environment and to promote the
general welfare through the installation and maintenance of
landscaping for screening,environmental and aesthetic effects.

Your Exemption Notice for New Stormwater Discharge Facility Construction has been received,
and it appears to meet minimum pre- construction requirements. This is an authorization to
proceed with construction.
However, this does not constitute a final determination that the facility is exempt from
our permit requirements. Within 30 days after construction is completed, an engineer
registered in Florida must submit the As -Built Certification form (copy enclosed)
certifying that it qualifies for an exemption.
Every effort should be taken during construction to prevent erosion and transport or
discharge of sediment to property other than your own.

f. Cut and remove grass clippings from the retention ponds on a
periodic basis. In no case, however, allow the grass cover to be
more than six (6) inches in height.
2. Once a month remove any debris which has accunmulated in the
retention ponds.
3. Annually inspect the retention ponds for the following and
repair as necessary.
A. Deterioration of overflow weir.
D. Excessive accumulation of silt and sand.
C. Erosion of side banks.
D. Blockage of PVC piping between ponds.
E. Determine the bottom elevation of retention ponds. If
retention pond has accumulated more then 1 inch of material
then remove excess material and resod.
