The City of Clearwater has initiated a landscape reinspection
program which will affect all commercial sites with approved
landscape plans filed with the City of Clearwater since January
1985.This courtesy letter is to serve as notification that you or
your organization owns property which is included in this program..
The Environmental Management Group will be conducting site
inspections to determine compliance with the city Beautification
Plot Plan, Sec.131.221 effective December,1981 and Land Development
Code, Sec. 136.023 effective October 14,1985. If the initial
inspection finds the site in compliance no further action will be
taken. However, if the site is found to be in noncompliance you
will be given, an opportunity to bring the site into. compliance.
Failure to do so will result in a notice of violation being issued
to the present owner or owners. The violation. will explain the
code(s) violated, nature of violations and required correction
date. Failure to correct the listed violations by the date
indicated will result in legal action by the Municipal Code
Enforcement Board of the City of Clearwater. (Sec.162.06 (2) F.S.).
This program is intended to improve the, appearance of off
street parking lots and other vehicular use areas, to protect and
preserve the appearance and value of the surrounding neighborhoods,
to improve the urban and natural environment and to promote the
general welfare through the installation and maintenance of
landscaping for screening,environmental and aesthetic effects.
