This courtesy letter is to serve as notification that you or your organization owns property which is included in this program. The Environmental Management Group will be conducting site inspections to determine compliance with the city's Uniform Development Regulations, Sections 42.27 & 42.33, Site Plans, Sec.43.24, Beautification Plot Plan, Sec. 131.221 and Land Development Code, Sec. 136.023. If the initial inspection finds the site in compliance, no further action will be taken. However, if the site is found to be in noncompliance, you will be given an opportunity to bring the site into compliance. Failure to do so will result in a notice of violation being issued to the present owner or owners. The violation will explain the code(s) violated, nature of the violations and required correction date. Failure to correct the listed violations by the date indicated will result in legal action by the Municipal Code Enforcement Board of the City of Clearwater. (Sec.162.06 (2) F.S.). This program is intended to improve the quality of surface waters of the city and appearance of off - street parking lots and other vehicular use areas, to protect and preserve the appearance and value of the surrounding neighborhoods,. to improve the urban and natural environment and to promote the general welfare through the installation and maintenance of stormwater retention ponds and landscaping, for screening, environmental and aesthetic effects. CODES VIOLATED: COMPLIANCE DATE: RECOMMENDATIONS:Trees along Island Way are declining and probably will continue to decline and will never mount to be healthy shade trees. Recommend removing and replacing with one native shade tree suited for beach conditions.
