TREE PRESERVATION PLAN FOR CANTERBURY OAKS OFFICE PARK, CLEARWATER, FL.
Development of this site will involve 1 006 inches DBH (Diameter Breast Height = the diameter
of the tree at 4 feet six inches from .ground level) All tree numbers refer back to the tree
inventory sent to the City of Clearwater.
Findings:
Tree number 1 a Slash Pine at 17 inch DBH has been topped and shows signs of decay
designating it as a 3. This tree must be removed to allow development of this site
Tree number 2 a Densa Slash Pine at 15 inch DBH has been topped and shows signs of decay
designating it as a 3. This tree must be removed to allow development of this site
Tree number 3 Slash Pine at 18 inch DBH has been topped and shows signs of decay designating
it as a 3. This tree must be removed to allow development of this site
Tree number 4 a Slash Pine at 17 inch DBH has been topped and shows signs of decay
designating it as a 3. This tree must be removed to allow development of this site

Tree number 53, an Oak, at 22 inch DBH, requires a redesign of the parking area as it must be
retained on site per the City of Clearwater. to accomplish this it will require concrete pad built on
structured soil with W.A.N.E, units placed on 8 feet centers to extend to 2 /3rds the drip line.
Tree number 54, an Oak, at 6, 8, and 10 inch DBH, must be removed as it is in the parking area
and tri dominant.
Tree number 55, an Oak, at 13, 5 ,6 and 8 inch DBH will be retained on site this tree will require
root pruning at construction + 1 foot for 15 feet to the west and 10 feet to the north from the
southeast corner of building. .
Tree number 56, an Oak, at 7 and 8 inch DBH, requires a redesign of the retention pond as it
must be retained on site per the City of Clearwater. To be on a island that the top of bank is at
2 /3rds drip line and to be root pruned at top of bank before excavation.
Tree number 57, an Oak, at 10 inch DBH, requires a redesign of the retention pond as it must be
retained on site per the City of Clearwater. To be on a island that the top of bank is at 2 /3rds drip
line and to be root pruned at top of bank before excavation.
Tree number 58, an Oak, at 21 inch DBH will be retained
Tree number 59, an Oak, at 20 inch DBH will be retained
Tree number 60, an Oak, at 32 inch DBH will be retained

Recommendations:
• Tree barricades must be installed at two thirds of the drip edge or at root prune line unless
approved by Ron Litts
• Tree barricades must be orange plastic fence 4 feet tall fastened to T stakes every 8 feet
• I or one of my associates must be on site during any excavation in a barricaded area
• This site has never been developed (resulting in a 25% savings from the City of Clearwater)
• No utilities or other disturbances shall occur in the barricaded areas unless approved by Ron
Litts
• All retained trees must be irrigated automatically
(resulting in a 10% savings from the City of Clearwater)
• Pruning and root pruning for envelope of buildings must be done to accepted ANSI A300
standards
• Pruning for envelope of buildings shall only be done at my direction and before damage is
incurred to the tree
• All root pruning must be done at 5 times the DBH of the tree unless directed by Ron Litts
• Equipment shall not enter the protected barricade areas
• I or my agent must be on site once a week(resulting in a 10% savings from the City of
Clearwater)
