SCOPE OF WORK: 24 trees on subject property designated for preservation. An
additional 10 trees are on neighboring property but will be barricaded. Refer to
accompanying tree survey for tree tag numbers.
OBJECTIVE: Eliminate failure potential of limbs and branches. Provide clearance for
construction of new building as well as pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Provide
protection for all site trees during demolition and construction activities. Provide
preservation specifications for future viability of all site trees. All work shall be performed
in compliance with the following standards: ANSI -A300, ANSI -Z133, and appropriate
Federal, State of Florida, Pinellas County, and City of Clearwater regulations and to the
specifications contained herein.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Barricades: For all trees to be preserved, barricades shall be erected at the limits of
each tree canopy using orange construction fencing. These tree barricades shall be
built using 2'x 2'x 4' high wooden posts at 6' on center. No encroachment or trespass
within tree barricades shall be permitted. Encroachment or trespass includes, but is not
limited to foot traffic, vehicles, construction material, debris, excavated material, run -off
of noxious materials in solution, or grade change.
Mulch: Apply to all trees. Recycled tree debris is acceptable. Pine bark is acceptable.
Shredded cypress or similar is not acceptable. Kill all grass and /or weeds under trees
before application. Apply mulch three inches in depth from within one foot of the tree
trunk to the limits of the barricade.
Crown Cleaning: All trees: Remove diseased and broken branches. Remove dead
branches 2" in diameter or greater. Reduce limbs /branches with weak attachments by
up to 30% of length.

Raising:
• Tree # 347 - prune 1 approximately 8" diameter limb and 2 approximately 8"
diameter branches on south side of canopy to 27' vertical clearance
Root pruning: Root pruning shall only be performed using equipment approved prior to
commencement of work. Prune to a depth of 18" - 24 ". Back fill with site dirt from
trench. �'EA6T-
a Tree # 330 - root prune to south at back of new curb
Curb and Asphalt/Concrete Removal: All curbs which will be removed must be
removed by hand using no heavy equipment.
Tre curb to be removed by hand and island widened. Area shall be cleared of
lime ck and other construction debris and re -filled with compost. Top with mulch as
out ' in these specifications.
NOTE: When re- surfacing of parking lot and concrete flume occurs, no heavy
equipment may be used and care must be taken not to tear any roots that may be
growing between the asphalt or concrete and lime rock. These roots must be cut
cleanly.
Chemical Application: To all trees, apply as a foliage spray solution,
at highest labeled rates, the following compatible products:
• F-45 (Equivalent: Manzate; Mancozeb)
• Copper
• Sequestrene Iron
• Adjuvent
Apply Cieary's and Subdue fungicides as a soil drench at the highest labeled rates to
entire canopy area limits. Apply solution amount at non - irrigated levels.
For all trees, inject Paciobutrazoi into the root system at a 2' radius from the trunk at the
following rates:
Elm - greater than 10" diameter = 125 ml per 1" diameter measured at 54" from
grade
Elm - less than 10" diameter = 100 ml per 1" diameter measured at 54" from
grade
Camphor =150 ml per 1" diameter measured at 54" from grade
Oak tree species = 125 ml per 1" diameter measured at 54" from grade

TREE PRESERVATION SPECIFICATIONS

SCOPE OF WORK: 24 trees on subject property designated for preservation. An
additional 10 trees are on neighboring property but will be barricaded. Refer to
accompanying tree survey for free tag numbers.
OBJECTIVE: Eliminate failure potential of limbs and branches. Provide clearance for
construction of new building as well as pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Provide
protection for all site trees during demolition and. construction activities. Provide
preservation specifications for future viability of all site trees. All work shall be performed
in compliance with the following standards: ANSI -A300, ANSI -2133, and appropriate
Federal, State of Florida, Pinellas County, and City of Clearwater regulations and to the
specifications contained herein.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Barricades: For all trees to be preserved, barricades shall be erected at the limits of
each tree canopy using orange construction fencing. These tree barricades shall be
built using 2' x 2' x 4' high wooden posts at 6',on center, No encroachment or trespass
within tree barricades arri es shall bepermitted. Encroachment a rtrespass includes, but is not
limited to foot traffic, vehicles, construction.material, debris, excavated material, run -off
of noxious materials in solution, or grade change.
Mulch: Apply to all trees. Recycled tree debris is acceptable. Pine bark is acceptable.
Shredded cypress or similar is not acceptable. Kill all grass and/or weeds under trees
before application. Apply mulch three inches In depth from within one foot of the tree
trunk to the limits of the barricade.
Crown Cleaning: Aff trees: Remove diseased and broken branches. Remove dead
branches 2” in diameter or greater. Reduce limbs /branches with weak attachments by
up to 30% of length.
Raising:
N- TE 1:0 Tree # 347 - prune 1 approximately 8° diameter limb and 2 approximately Ir
diameter branches on south side of canopy to 27' vertical clearance
Root pruning: Root pruning shall only be performed using equipment approved prior to
commencement of work. Prune to a depth of 18'- 24 '. Back fill with site dirt from
trench.
N 0 TE 2 : a Tree # 330 -root prune to south at back of new curb
Curb and Asphalt/Concrete Removal: All curbs which will be removed must be
removed by hand using no heavy equipment.
NOTE i : Tree # 349- curb to be removed by hand and island widened. Area shall be cleared of
lime rock and other construction- debris and re-filled with compost. - Top with mulch as
outlined in these specifications.
NOTE: When re- surfacing of parking lot and concrete flume occurs, no heavy
equipment may be used and care must be taken not to tear any roots that may be
growing between the asphalt or concrete and lime rock. These roots must be cut
cleanly.
Chemical Application: To all trees, apply as a foliage spray solution,
at highest labeled rates, the following compatible products:
a F-45 (Equivalent; Manzate; Mancozeb)
Copper
® Sequestrene Iran
• Adjuvent
Apply Cleary's and Subdue fungicides as a soil drench at the highest labeled rates to
entire canopy area limits. Apply solution amount at non4nlgated levels.
For all trees, Inject PaclobutrYazol into the root system at a 2' radius from the trunk at the
following rates:
Elm - greater than 10” diameter =125 ml per 1" diameter measured at 54" from
grade
Elm - less than 10" diameter =100 ml per 1" diameter measured at 54" from
grade
Camphor= 150 ml per 1" diameter measured at 54" from grade
Oak tree species =125 ml per 1" diameter measured at 54" from grade
