I've been to the site once, and just from eyeballing it, there are a couple of spots where it doesn't conform with his approved permit plans. I spoke with him briefly today and he said that the inspector had been to site and said everything was okay. Carlo gave me the impression that Jack was fine with everything, including the heights of the wall and columns. I looked it up in permit plan and he actually failed his final because he didn't have gates. So, it seems a bit fishy to me. Jack, were the heights okay? I am currently reviewing (FLS2008- 10023) I made a site. visit and observed a violation. Per CDC. Section 3- 804.A, fences are limited. in height to 36 inches in front of the principal structure. At the site - -608 Orange Ave.- - the wall is higher than 36 inches in front of the principal structure in several places. There are probably other fence height violations on the property as well - -at least in the rear (facing Lime. St.) where the columns appear to be around six/seven feet tall. There was a permit associated with the fence (BCP2008- 02003), but it is currently in "expired" status. They did not build the wall as approved under this permit. I've attached some photos I took yesterday morning.
