EXTENSION TO VEHICLE TOWING SERVICES CONTRACTEXTENSION TO VEHICLE TOWING SERVICE CONTRACT
THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into on the rRy day of , 2010, by
the City of Clearwater, Florida, a municipal corporation, hereinafter ref rred to as the "City,"
and B.J.'s Towing, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Contractor," is to extend the current
Vehicle Towing Service Contract entered into between the City and Contractor.
WHEREAS, the City entered into a Vehicle Towing Service Contract with Contractor
for the towing and storage of vehicles and other services pursuant to the terms and
conditions of the Contract;
WHEREAS, the term of the Contract was for three (3) years, ending on July 31, 2010,
with an option of an additional two years thereafter;
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor agree to extend the Vehicle Towing Service
Contract for up to an additional one (1) year with the understanding that the City will begin
preparations to obtain bids from Contractor and other towing companies for a new Vehicle
Towing Service Contract to begin no later than August 1, 2011, which will include all of the
services being provided under the current Contract as well as the towing of vehicles currently
being towed by a number of towing companies providing services on a rotation basis;
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises and the mutual covenants
contained in this Agreement, the Contractor and City hereby agree as follows:
The Vehicle Towing Service Contract between the City and Contractor, which terminates on
July 31, 2010, is hereby extended for up to one (1) year until July 31, 2011. All other terms
and conditions of the original Vehicle Towing Service Contract shall remain in effect. The City
and Contractor further understand and agree that this extension may be terminated by the
City prior to July 31, 2011, once the City has obtained bids for and awarded a new Vehicle
Towing Service Contract, which will include all of the services being provided by Contractor
under the current Contract as well as the towing of vehicles currently being towed by a
number of towing companies providing services on a rotation basis.

Please be advised that B.J's Towing is ceasing business operations as of midnight Oct 31 st 2010.
Gator Transportation Svcs is moving into our location at 2131 Range Road and will continue to run a towing
operation. It is our desire with the approval of the City of Clearwater to assign the remainder of our contract
with the City to Gator Transportation Svcs Inc. The City of Clearwater can expect professional and timely
service from Gator Transportation Svcs Inc. The phone number and impound location will remain the same
as it was for B.J.'s Towing Inc.

Gator Transportation Svcs Inc has signed a lease with B.J.'s Towing Inc for the office and
impound yard located at 2131 Range Road Clearwater Fl. Gator has also made an agreement to
purchase their equipment with the intent to continue to run a towing service operation. Gator
Transportation Svcs Inc is in agreement to honor all terms and conditions of the City's vehicle
towing service contract. Jonathan Haworth the former president of BJ's Towing and Recovery Inc i,
which held the City contract prior to B.J.'s Towing is now president and general manager of Gator
Transportation Svcs Inc. The City can be assured that they will continue to be provided a
professional and timely service. Gator Transportation Svcs will remain at the current impound yard
location and retain the same phone number as B.J.'s Towing Inc.
