AMENDMENT NO. 1 - TO EXTEND THE HOURS OF SERVICE

AMENDMENT NO. 1
The AGREEMENT made and entered into on January 13, 1987,
between pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, a public agency of
the state of Florida (hereinafter referred to as "PSTA") and the
city of Clearwater, a Florida municipality (hereinafter referred
to as "CITY") is hereby superceded to the extent set forth in
this AMENDMENT NO. 1 executed this K day of _~A ~

WHEREAS, the CITY desires to extend the hours of service of
the specialized transit service to the public to serve the
Clearwater Beach Community; and
WHEREAS, paragraph six of the AGREEMENT provides that any
expansion of routes beyond the initial route and schedule
established under the AGREEMENT requires the mutual approval of
both parties; and
WHEREAS, PSTA is willing to provide the additional service
requested by the CITY; and
WHEREAS,
the PSTA charge per vehicle mile under the
AGREEMENT for the original service hours accounts for all federal
operating grant funds applicable to this service.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants and
conditions set forth herein, the parties agree that the AGREEMENT
shall be amended as follows:
1. The hours of service shall be extended from 10 am to 7
pm daily to 10 am to 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and from 10 am
to 12 am Friday and Saturday.
Additionally, the service shall
serve the disembarkation points for the charter ferry service

which are the old Mandalay Marina site and the Sea Stone Hotel.
2. The CITY agrees, in consideration of the additional
services rendered by PSTA under this AMENDMENT NO.1, to pay PSTA
its average fiscal year-to-date cost per vehicle mile for each
additional mile scheduled to be operated from the time of leaving
the garage until the vehicle returns to the garage, wi thout
adjustment for federal operating grant funds.
3. All remaining provisions of the AGREEMENT shall remain
in full force and effect.
4. This AMENDMENT NO. 1 shall be effective as of February
15, 1990.
