ADDENDUM NO. 1/LATENT FINGERPRINT/CRIME SCENE SERVICES " '* ~ . ,~ ., I I ADDENDUM NO. 1 This is a continuance of the Agreement entered into by and between the City of Clearwater, a municipal corporation (herein- after "CITY") and EVERETT S. RICE, as Sheriff of Pinellas Coun- ty, Florida (hereinafter "SHERIFF"), dated August 27, 1996. It is the intent of the parties herein to renew the above- described Agreement with all terms and conditions of said Agree- ment remaining the same except as provided herein below: 1. Paragraph I I, page 3, is hereby amended to read as follows: II. The CITY shall pay to the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS- SIONERS the sum of FORTY-NINE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTEEN DOLLARS AND SEVENTY-EIGHT CENTS ($49,815.78) annually for the latent fingerprint services to be rendered pursuant to this Agreement. 2. Paragraph III.D., page 3, is hereby amended to read as follows: D. The CITY shall pay to the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS- SIONERS the sum of $131.25 for each crime scene processed by the SHERIFF and shall guarantee a minimum of 1,500 calls for service during the period of this Agreement. For all requests for service in excess of 1,500 during the period of this Agreement, the CITY shall pay to the BOARD the sum of $131.25 for each crime scene processed pursuant to this Agreement. However, in no case shall the BOARD be paid less than TWO HUNDRED NINETEEN THOUSAND THIRTY-SIX DOLLARS AND TWENTY-FOUR CENTS ($219,036.24) for crime scene technician and evidence storage services as provided in this Agreement. 3. Paragraph III.E., page 3, is hereby amended to read as follows: E. Billing for requests for service in excess of 1,500 calls during the period of this Agreement shall be invoiced monthly at the rate of $131.25 per call, 4. Paragraph IV, page 4, is hereby amended to read as fol- lows: IV. The CITY agrees to pay to the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS on or before January 31, 1998, the sum of TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS AND TWO CENTS ($268,852.02) which reflects the minimum sum due for all services to be rendered during the term of this Agreement. 5. Either party may cancel this Agreement upon providing notice of such cancellation in writing thirty (30) days in advance of the date of cancellation. In consideration for and CITY'S knowledge of SHERIFF hiring and training additional staff to manage the requirements of this Agreement, should CITY terminate this Agreement prior to September 30, 1998 no funds will be reimbursed by the SHERIFFF to the CITY. If the SHERIFF terminates the Agreement, the SHERIFF shall retain such sums from the payment set forth above as reflect actual calls for service at the rate provided herein and shall refund the remainder to the CITY. 6. Except as provided above, the terms and conditions of the Agreement dated August 27, 1996 are renewed for a period of nine months commencing January 1, 1998 and concluding September 30, 1998.
