AMENDMENT TO MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT TO MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT is made and entered into this I~-~
day of December, 1989, by and between the CITY OF CLEARWATER, a F 1 or i da
municipality (hereinafter, "MUNICIPALITY"), on behalf of its police department,
and EVERETT S. RICE, SHERIFF OF PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA (hereinafter,
"SHERIFF").
WHEREAS, the MUNICIPALITY and the SHERIFF have entered into a mutual aid
agreement dated as of May 18, 1989, and the parties desire to amend the agreement
to provide a definite termination date as set forth herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants expressed herein
and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which
are acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:
1. Paragraph 19 of the mutual aid agreement between the MUNICIPALITY and
the SHERIFF is amended to read:
19. This Agreement shall be binding upon the parties from the
date of full execution hereof and shall continue in full force and
effect until January 1. 1993. However. either party may terminate
this Aareement prior to said date by providina written notice of

2. All other terms and provisions of the mutual aid agreement shall
continue in full force and effect during the remainder of the term thereof.
