A. D. 1979, between the CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter called "City", and THE SCHOOL BOARD OF
PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, hereinafter called lIBoard'.;
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the Board, through the Pinellas Vocational Technical
Institute, wishes to use the City fire training facility located at 1700 North
Belcher Road, Clearwater, Florida, for the interim purpose of teachuig
classes related to firefighting; and
WHEREAS, the Board is in need of a facility while a new facility
is being constructed; and
WHEREAS, City desires to help the Board provide this public
service;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants
herein contained, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows:
1. The City will permit the Board and its agent, the Pinellas
Voca.tional Technical Institute, to use the City of Clearwa ter fire training
facility located at 1700 Belcher Road, Clearwater, Florida, for the purpose
and no other of making available course instruction in firefighting which
has been approved by the State Department of Education.
2. The term of this agreement shall be one (1) year commencing
on August 1, 1979, and ending July 31, 1980, unless terminated as otherwise
, provided herein.
3. The Board understands that the City of Clearwater Fire Department
will also be using the facility and the Board agrees to coordinate its activities
with the Clearwater Fire Chief to the end that daily activities carried on by
the Clearwater Fire Department at the facility will not be interrupted.

4. The Board agrees to be responsible for all janitorial care made
necessary during the time that the Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute
is using the facility.
5. The Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute will supply all
materials to be used as part of such course work. and City agrees to permit
such materials to be stored at the facility during the term of this agreement.
6. The Board further agrees to structure such course work ill such a wa:
that not more than thirty (30) people associated with such course work are
using the facility at anyone period of time.
7. The Board agrees to hold the City harmless and to that end agrees
to asswne the defense of and save the City harmless from any and all
claims. actions or suits for personal injury. death or property damage
arising out of or occasioned by reason of the Board and its representative.

8. The Board agrees to make the City a named insured on any or all
policies of insurance it secures to comply with the requirement set out in
paragraph seven (7), and to provide the City with a copy of all such policies.
9. This agreement may be terminated at any time upon either party
providing thirty (30) days written notice to the other party.
