Code Analysis and Comparison This second phase will include the PPC's analysis of the current development review process to determine if it is unnecessarily complex, burdensome, or time- consuming. PPC staff will also conduct a comparison with the development review processes of three other comparable cities in Florida (e.g., Gainesville, Ft. Meyers, Sarasota, as mutually agreed upon), Pinellas County, and two other like areas of the nation (as mutually agreed upon) to obtain ideas, as determined relevant, on how to improve Clearwater's development review process. This work effort will identify what development review processes appear to work well for these communities in relationship to their intended purpose and which processes could be applied to Clearwater. 2 3. Recommendations This third phase will consist of a series of recommendations that address areas of i..rn.provement, if any, in the development review processes. These recommendations are intended to improve the current development review process with respect to its ease of use by the City staff and the public and ensure that these processes serve their intended purpose. 4.
