AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
~MENT,' made and entered into on this the ;;;(tj--r:L day
of , 1993, by and between the SCHOOL BOARD OF
PI LAS COUNT , FLORIDA, (hereinafter referred to as the
"BOARD"), and CITY OF CLEARWATER, (the Clearwater Police
Department referred to herein as "C.P.D."), amends the Agreement
entered into by the BOARD and the C.P.D. for the establishment of
a School Resource Officer (SRO) Program in the public school
system of Pinellas County.
\"IITNESSETH:
Whereas the BOARD and the C.P.D. entered into an Agreement
whereby the C.P.D. would supply SROs to designated schools~ and
whereby said Agreement may be modified by the mutual consent of
the parties,
It is agreed as follows:
1. The Agreement between the BOARD and the C.P.D. dated
the 28th day of August, 1991, is hereby modified to reflect that
the amount of compensation paid by the BOARD per SRO for the
1992/93 school year, as set forth in Article III of the original
Agreement, shall be increased to a total of $25,606.00,
retroactive to October I, 1992.
2. In place of the 9 1/2 month sequences set forth in
Article VII of the original Agreement, School Resource Officer
contracts shall be on a 10-month and as needed a 22-day basis, so
as to ensure availability of officers for summer school coverage.
3. All other terms and conditions of the original
Agreement dated the 28th day of August, 1991, shall remain in
full force and affect unless specifically modified herein.
