LICENSE FOR CITY TO USE LAND FOR TRAINING
LICENSE TO USE LAND
THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT, hereinafter referred to as "LICENSE," is made and
entered into this ~ day o~~ 1999, between Pinellas County, Florida, a political
subdivision of the State ofJtfuridl hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY" and CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, referred to as "LICENSEE."
WI1NESSETH
I. PREMISES: COUNTY hereby grants permission to LICENSEE to use that portion of the
vacant land which has an asphalt area as shown on Exhibit "A" attached and made a part hereto.
2. USE: COUNTY hereby grants permission to LICENSEE'S Clearwater Fire & Rescue
Safety & Training Division to use the described property for the purpose of an emergency
vehicle operators course. The course is a specific, measured, low speed course utilizing cones as
markers and will not do any harm to the land surface.
3. MAINTENANCE: LICENSEE will be solely responsible for maintenance of the
property.
4. TERM: This License shall be for a term of eight (8) weeks, commencing on the date of
execution of this agreement by the Board of County Commissioners, also known as the
"Commencement Date."
5. The CITY OF CLEARWATER accepts the property in "as is" condition, assumes all risk
and liability, and shall remain solely liable for all of its activities on the property, including but
not limited to all worker's compensation claims.
IN WIlNESS WHEREOF, COUNTY and LICENSEE have hereunto set its hand and
seal as of the day and year first above written.
