DRAINAGE REPORT
for
YeriFone~CORPORATE CENTER
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
VeriFone Corporate Center is a proposed office development in the Park Place complex in the City
of Clearwater, Florida. The 7.50-acres site will contain amulti-story office building with associated
parking and a wet detention/treatment pond.
EXISTING CONDITIONS
The site has been previously permitted by the Southwest Florida Water Management District with
the Grand Reserve (Permit 489844.03) due to the need for extension of Park Place Boulevard. That
permit showed the area for Basin G-1, in which this project and a portion of Park Place Boulevard
lie, to be 9.08 acres and to have a developed curve number of 94.1. Actual construction of Park
Place Boulevard completed prior to permitting of the Grand Reserve has 0.64 acres thought to be
in Basin G-1 that are connected directly by storm sewer to Pond E-4 in the southeast corner of Park
Place, so the actual basin area for G-1 is 8.44 acres. At this time, Park Place Boulevard has been
substantially completed, and Pond G-1 has been constructed to provide treatment and detention for
that portion of its basin being constructed with the Grand Reserve. The remainder of the project site
remains heavily forested. Although the top of bank for Pond G-1 is generally at elevation 42 or
above, the existing inlets in Park Place Boulevard provide overflow out of the basin at elevation
41.38. The permit calculations show a design high water elevation and peak discharge for the 25-
year/24-hour storm of 41.36 and 15.31CFS, respectively. Existing conditions were taken from field
survey.
PROPOSED CONDITIONS
The proposed improvements will result in a curve number for Basin G-1 of 93.2, slightly less than
originally permitted. With the reduction in actual basin area to 8.44 acres, the pond will only need
to be enlarged to about 0.93 acres with 0.20 acres of planted littoral shelf. The outfall structure will
need to be modified to provide 12 feet of slot at elevation 40.05 and a 1-5/8 inch orifice at elevation
38.90. These improvements will result in a design high water elevation for the 25-year/24-hour
storm of 41.36 and a peak discharge of 15.76 CFS.
