SITE PLAN REVIEW CHECKLIST
The following checklist has been provided to assist in the efficient review of site plans submitted to the
City of Clearwater for Traffic Engineering approval. While care has been taken to include the most
common items required for successful site plan review, this list should not be considered as all inclusive
and all items may not be applicable to every site plan submitted.
Show geometrics and lane configuration of all abutting roadways.
Show adjoining property driveway accesses and affected site areas.
Show location and dimensions of driveways, aisles, parking stalls and all internal design features
(including but not limited to; landscape islands, medians, lighting standards, cart corrals, bike
racks, bollards, gates, dumpster enclosures, etc.).
Show all pavement markings, signage and traffic control devices. Use must comply with
standazds set forth by the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MLTTCD).
(~ Indicate the location of lighting fixtures and show with 90 degree cutoffs directed away from
abutting streets and residential properties.
Show required parking calculation and the number of spaces provided.
Provide handicap parking and access compliant with City, State & Federal Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
^ Provide loading zone(s) per City Code.
^ Provide vehicle stacking area(s) per City Code.
^ Provide new, upgraded or repaired sidewalks compliant with City Code and ADA standards.
^ Determine site impact and subsequent roadway design changes needed.

34. Reflect the use of raised curbs or protective timbers on the site plan where interior
landscaped areas abut pavement.
35. Depict all required parking lot interior areas on the plan by shading or cross-hatching.
ENGINEERING PLAN REVIEW
36. Show ADA ramps for sidewalks on the site plan.
37. Complete the Dumpster Requirement Form and return it to the City Solid Waste
Department.
38. Add a note to the site plan stating "It is the responsibility of the owner to roll the
dumpstet to a designated location at an assigned time as approved by the
Solid Waste Superintendent."
39. State on the construction plan that the detector check should be DDCVA with the
by-pass meter installed by the City with fee paid by contractor.
40. State on the plan that the 6" fire line tap to the G" City water line is to state "6x6 tap"
so that City Utility Accounts ~vill know what fee to bill the contractor.
41. Show backflow device(s) on plans as RPD.
42. Show all proposed utilities, storm water retention/detention systems and 50'

Enclosed please find the information listed below regarding the Site Plan for the captioned
project.
1. Sixteen (16) blueprints (24" x 36" - 1 sheet) of the Site Plan for the proposed changes to
the driveway, parking and building at the above referenced project.
2. One (1) endorsed copy of the City of Clearwater Application for Site Plan Review.
Due to the fact that this is a minor revision to a previously approved site, we are requesting a
waiver of the Site Plan review fee on behalf of Bethel Lutheran Church.
It is our understanding that this project will be scheduled for a Development Review
Committee Meeting in the near future. Prior to the DRC Meeting, you will let us know when
the public hearing advertising sign, which will be prepared by the City, is ready. We will then
pick up the sign, and have it posted in front of the Church.
