P. O. Box 13594 Tallahassee, FL 32317 Re: 1091 Eldorado Avenue - DEP Permit Applicatfon f6r Calouel_Yacht Club-Dune.-Walk-,A -Overt Dear Mr. Gardner: The Planning Department has reviewed the conceptual plans (dated July 21, 2003) for the proposed expansion of an existing dune walk-over. The proposal includes a four-foot wide expansion of the existing walk-over (from four-feet to eight-feet in width), the extension of the walk-over by 40 feet and the addition of a 40-foot by 40-foot wide deck at its terminus. The proposed construction is to be located seaward of the Coastal Construction Control Line (CCCL), believed to be the seawall. Section 3-905.B of the Clearwater Community Development Code does not permit any buildings or structures to be located seaward of the CCCL unless approved by the State of Florida. This office has no objection to the proposed construction outlined above. Further, this office does not foresee any problems with the issuance of a City of Clearwater building permit should a DEP permit be approved. This determination does not relieve the owner of the responsibility to obtain any permits or licenses that may be required by other concerned County, State or Federal agencies, or of obtaining necessary building permits from the City of Clearwater. Any modifications to the above-noted plans may void this determination. DEP Permit Application for Carlouel Yacht Club Dune Walk Over DATE. July 1, 2003 Pages - 2 PAGE 01/02 I've discussed the topographical survey with DEP and they suggested I request a waiver of that requirement, which I will. The following items are required to complete the permit application. 1. Evidence of ownership - deed for the property upon which the dune walkover will cross over. The deed should be in the name of the Carlouel Yacht Club, Inc., if not, let me know how the property is deeded. It will affect the way I've completed the "Owner of Record" on the application form. 2. A letter from the local governmental authority having jurisdiction over the construction activity that it does not contravene any local setback requirements, or building, or zoning codes and is consistent with the local comprehensive plan for growth management. The letter should be specific with regard to your project to replace the existing 4' wide dune walk over with an 8' wide handicap accessible walkover and the addition of a 40' X 40' viewing platform at the seaward end. 3- The names and addresses of the adjacent property owners so that I can complete item 5 of the application form. 4. An engineering drawing of the terminal platform similar to the drawing supplied to mer the walls over. v1p 5. An additional copy of the survey. / 6. A check for $500 made out to DEP for the permit fee. I've attached, for your information, a copy of page one of the permit application. If you can fax the information to me on adjacent property owners, I'll complete it and ;Fax you a final copy for signature. I went by the DOT photo archives today and picked up a beautiful December 2002 color aerial of the club and surrounding properties. I got an extra copy that the club might want to frame.
