CLEVELAND STREET STREETSCAPE
DOWNTOWN CLEARWATER
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA
Work under this contract, Northern Boys Tree & Lawn
Service shall include the furnishing of all labor,
material, equipment: supervision, transportation and
other services necessary to do the landscapE maintenance
at the designated area as specified herein.
During and .at the end of the maintenance period, all
plant material shall be in a healthy, growing condition.
Work Methods:
Ndrthern Boys Tree & Lawn S~rvice will perform the follo~ing:
Maintenance Schedule: Submit a monthly tehtative work
schedule to the Nursery Division for. the upcoming month,
before the start of each month.
Weekly Service:
Litter: Remove trash and debris from the flower bed
areas at each weekly visit.
Weeds: Remove all visible weeds. Pre-emergent
herbicides labeled for use on planted crop will
be used when appropriate.
Visual Check: Visually inspect beds for indications of
fungus, vandalism, soil moisture: etc., and any
irregularities reported to the Nursery Division
within 24 hours.

Pinching/Pruning: Plants will be tip pinched to
promote fullness as needed for the first
six weeks of growing, starting two weeks
after planting. Plants will be pruned to
keep them out of bench and table areas
adjacent to the planters.
Replacements: Plants that fall or are missing

Pesticide/Fertilizer Applications: The following
pesticide/fertilizer combination will be
foliar applied in a spray solution every 10
da)'s.
One pound Orthene 75% WP~
One and one half pound Zyban fungicide, and
Eight pounds of water soluble 20-20-20
fertilizer, per 100 gallons of water.
Plants will be covered thoroughly, to the
point of run off. A water soluble 10-30-20
will be substituted for the 20-20-20 after
the first six applications and applications
will continue up to one month from expected

5011 Preparatlon/Remulchlng: 5011 will be turned to
loosen clods and roots existing in the planters
in .preparation for the next crop. Shredded
cypress mulch will be added as necessary to
maintain a minimum thickness of one inch. No
more than two inches of mulch will be placed in
the planters.
