CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The future land use plan element of the comprehensive plan of the City of
Clearwater is amended by designating the land use category for the hereinafter described
property as follows:

Section 2. The City Commission does hereby certify that this ordinance is consistent
with the City's comprehensive plan.

approval of the land use designation by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners,
and subject to a determination by the State of Florida, as appropriate, of compliance with the
applicable requirements of the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land
Development Regulation Act, pursuant to § 163.3189, Florida Statutes. The Community
Development Coordinator is authorized to transmit to the Pinellas County Planning Council an
application to amend the Countywide Plan in order to achieve consistency with the Future Land
Use Plan Element of the City's Comprehensive Plan as amended by this ordinance.

WHEREAS, the amendment to the future land use plan element of the comprehensive
plan of the City as set forth in this ordinance is found to be reasonable, proper and appropriate,
and is consistent with the City's comprehensive plan; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The future land use plan element of the comprehensive plan of the City of
Clearwater is amended by designating the land use category for the hereinafter described
property as follows:

Section 2. The City Commission does hereby certify that this ordinance is consistent
with the City's comprehensive plan.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption, subject to the
approval of the land use designation by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners,
and subject to a determination by the State of Florida, as appropriate, of compliance with the
applicable requirements of the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land
Development Regulation Act, pursuant to § 163.3189, Florida Statutes. The Community
Development Coordinator is authorized to transmit to the Pinellas County Planning Council an
application to amend the Countywide Plan in order to achieve consistency with the Future Land
Use Plan Element of the City's Comprehensive Plan as amended by this ordinance.

EAST SIDE OF HAMPTON ROAD, APPROXIMATELY 270 FEET
NORTH OF GULF-TO-BAY BOULEVARD, CONSISTING OF A
PORTION OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH, RANGE 16
EAST, WHOSE POST OFFICE ADDRESS IS 7 HAMPTON ROAD,
UPON ANNEXATION INTO THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, AS
RESIDENTIAUOFFICE (R/OL); PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the amendment to the future land use plan element of the comprehensive plan
of the City as set forth in this ordinance is found to be reasonable, proper and appropriate, and is
consistent with the City's comprehensive plan; now, fierefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The future land use plan element of the comprehensive plan of the City of
Clearwater is amended by designating the land use category for the hereinafter described
property, upon annexation into the City of Clearwater, as follows:

use designation by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, and subject to a
determination by the State of Florida, as appropriate, of compliance with the applicable
requirements of the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development
Regulation Act, pursuant to § 163.3189, Florida Statutes.

Pursuant to Rule 96-11.011, Florida Administrative Code, I am transmitting, to each of
the named agencies a copy of the information requested by DCA to complete the
submittal package for the adopted amendments to the Clearwater Comprehensive Plan
(Clearwater 02-01).
Included is the following information:
A copy of the ordinance adopting the comprehensive plan amendment pursuant to rule
9J-11.011(5) F.A.C. for Amendment LUZ 02-02-01; and
An executed copy of the adoption ordinance for Amendment LUZ 01-09-08 as required
by Section 163.3184(15)(a) Florida Statutes, and rule 9J-11.011(3) Florida
Administrative Code.
Amendment 02-02-03 was not submitted with the City's adopted amendment package
because the ordinance has not been adopted to date. The Pinellas Planning Council did
not recommend approval of the amendment to the Countywide Planning Authority;
therefore the applicant and the City are trying to resolve the Council's concerns. If and
when the Countywide Planning Authority approves this amendment, the Clearwater City
Commission will hold 2°a and final reading.
No citizen commented on LUZ 01-09-08 or LUZ 01-09-08 at any public hearing or
submitted written comments; therefore, the Comprehensive Plan Citizen Courtesy
Information List is not included for these cases. This list will be provided for LUZ 02-
02-03 when and if it is adopted.

Per your letter dated November 27, 2002, enclosed please find the following to complete
the City of Clearwater's adopted amendment submittal package:
Three .copies of the ordinance adopting the comprehensive plan amendment pursuant to
rule 9J-11.011(5) F.A.C. for Amendment LUZ 02-02-01; and
Three copies of the executed adoption ordinance, for Amendment LUZ 01-09-08 as
required by Section 163.3184(15)(a) Florida Statutes, and rule 9J-11.011(3) Florida
Administrative Code.
Amendment 02-02-03 was not submitted with the City's adopted amendment package
because the ordinance has not been adopted to date. The Pinellas Planning Council did
not recommend approval of the amendment to the Countywide Planning Authority,
therefore the applicant and the City are trying to resolve the Council's concerns. If and
when the Countywide Planning Authority approves this amendment, the Clearwater City
Commission will hold 2"a and final reading.
No citizen commented on LUZ 01-09-08 or LUZ 01-09-08 at any public hearing or
submitted written comments, therefore, the Comprehensive Plan Citizen Courtesy
Information List is not included for these cases. This list will be provided for LUZ 02-
02-03 when and if it is adopted.

Dear Mr. Eubanks:
Pursuant to Chapter 163.3187(1)(c), Florida Statutes, and Rule 9J-11, Florida
Administrative Code, the City of Clearwater is hereby transmitting the remainder of the
small scale Future Land Use Plan amendments adopted in 2002. As approved thus far in
amendment package 02S2, the total acres of small scale development amendments for
2002 is 9.18-acres. Approval of the two (2) small scale development amendments
included in this package, totaling 3.34-acres, will increase the .total acreage for the 2002
calendar year to 12.52-acres.

WHEREAS, the amendment to the future land use plan element of the comprehensive
plan of the City as set forth in this ordinance is found to be reasonable, proper and appropriate,

and subject to a determination by the State of Florida, as appropriate, of compliance with the
applicable requirements of the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land
Development Regulation Act, pursuant to § 163.3189, Florida Statutes. The Community
Development Coordinator is authorized to transmit to the Pinellas County Planning Council an
application to amend the Countywide Plan in order to achieve consistency with the Future Land
Use Plan Element of the City's Comprehensive Plan as amended by this ordinance.

CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The future land use plan element of the comprehensive plan of the
City of Clearwater is amended by designating the land use category for the hereinafter
described property as follows:

Section 2. The City Commission does hereby certify tha# this ordinance is
consistent with the City's comprehensive plan.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption, subject
to the approval of the land use designation by the Pinellas County Board of County
Commissioners, and subject to a determination by the State of Florida, as appropriate,
of compliance with the applicable requirements of the Local Government
Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act, pursuant to
§ 163.3189, Florida Statutes. The Community Development Coordinator is authorized
to transmit to the Pinellas County Planning, Council an application to amend the
Countywide Plan in order to achieve consistency with the Future Land Use Plan
Element of the City's Comprehensive Plan as amended by this ordinance.
