The Vice Chair called a work session to order at 2:08 p.m. at BrightHouse Field. To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not necessarily discussed in that order. 2 - Approval of Minutes - October 14, 2009 Approval of the October 14, 2009, minutes was continued to March 18, 2010. 3 - Old Business 3.1. FDOT US 19 Overpass Project Cultural Affairs Specialist Christopher Hubbard reviewed artwork opportunities for the new US19 overpass at Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. 3.2. Sculpture360: Season III Mr. Hubbard said the Sculpture360: Season III program will begin earlier so that all pieces are installed by late September 2010; he recommended granting $8,000 in discretionary funds to Season III, and to seek grants/sponsorships for future exhibits. 3.4. PADB Guidelines Update Mr. Hubbard reviewed a minor update to PADB (Public Art & Design Board) guidelines. 4 - New Business 4.1. Private Development Update Staff has determined that the 2165 Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard development consists of two separate projects, each with a public art fee. The Residence Inn at 940 Court Street has installed signage for its public art and is addressing corrosion problems with its main fountain. Public Art & Design 2010-01-13 4.2. Public Development Update a) Coast Guard Memorial Marine & Aviation Department Director Bill Morris and Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce representative Kathleen Peters discussed City efforts to be designated as a Coast Guard City and requested that the Coast Guard's contribution to Clearwater be recognized through art. b) Art Plan - 215 S. Ft. Harrison Ave. Mr. Hubbard has requested a formal presentation regarding the project's public art. Downtown Boat Slios & Promenade d) Fire Station 48 Training Facility Installation of the artwork has been delayed until late February due to engineering errors. e) Clearwater Beach Recreation Center/Library Project The artwork will be installed as soon as the glass lamination is completed. f) Membership Vacancy Seats for the Artist and a Citizen are vacant. 5 - Items not on the Agenda 6 - Facility Tour - Public Art Site 7 - Adjourn The work session adjourned at 3:30 p.m. followed by a tour of Carpenter Field.
