1. PROJECT TITLE:
Networking & Cabling Project Liaison Services
2. BACKGROUND:
The City of Clearwater has engaged PSI International to perform
certain local (LAN) and wide area networking (WAN) services for the
Police Department. . It now contemplates engaging Bay Resources, as
a subcontractor to the City's Architect, to: (1) design the City's LAN,
WAN and cabling systems; (2), implement planned LAN and WAN
work for the Police Department; (3) implement similar networking work
for the City in connection with the construction of the new City Hall
facility; and (4) install voice and data cabling in both the new City and
Police buildings.
3. SCOPE OF WORK:
John Dorsey & Associates will serve as consultant and advisor to the
City in connection with the networking and cabling work, participating
in planning, reviewing proposed solutions, and performing other duties
as requested by the City.
4. ,PROJECT GOAL:
Assist the City is obtaining long-lived networking and cabling systems
with appropriate function~1ity,
5. BUDGET:
The services will be performed on a Time and Material basis. Charges
will be $75 per hour for professional time, and actual costs for expenses.
The charges shall not exceed $5,000 except as approved by the City.
6. SCHEDULE:
Work will be scheduled with the City; project activities are anticipated
to coincide with networking and cabling work, which should conclude

approximately six months from this date.
7. STAFF ASSIGNMENTS:
City: Dewey M. Williams, Deputy Police Chief
John Dorsey & Associates: Mr. Ernest Pages
8. CORRESPONDENCE/REPORTING PROCEDURES:
All John Dorsey & Associates correspondence shall be directed to
Dewey Williams, Deputy Police Chief. All City correspondence on pro-
ject management/contract issues shall be directed to John Dorsey. All
City correspondence on technical project issues shall be directed to
Ernest Pages.
9. INVOICINGfl;"1JNDING PROCEDURES:
Invoices for Networking & Cabling Project Liaison Services will be
submitted separately from invoices for other contracted work, and will
be clearly identified as being for Networking & Cabling Project Liaison
Services. Invoices will specifically describe the work for which the in-
voice is being submitted (i.e., number of hours worked and by whom,
travel specifics, etc.).
