Dear Policyholder:
By this time you should have received notice that effective December 7,
1986, any policy or contract of insurance that you may have had with
Texas Fire and Casualty Company of Dallas, Texas, is cancelled. It was
the intent of the Receiver and it was so represented to the Court that
you would receive thirty (30) days notice of this cancellation. Due to
circumstances beyong the Receiver's control, he was unable to provide
you with the proper period of notice. Therefore, on December 5, 1986,
the Receiver applied to the Court for authority to extend the period
of liability on the cancelled Texas Fire and Casualty Company policies
until January 6, 1987. This means that, despite the fact that your
policy is cancelled on December 7, 1986, any claim that is incurred
between the date of cancellation and January 6, 1987, will be covered
as if the policy were in effect. This will allow you at least thirty
(30) days from the date of cancellation to replace your coverage without
the da~ger of a lapse between your old insurance and your new insurance.
If your policy expired prior to our cancellation date of December 7,
