MUTUAL LETTER OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT - INDUSTRIAL PRETREATMENT PROGRAM AGREEMENT REVIEWAugust 21, 2009 Mutual Letter of Acknowledgement - Industrial Pretreatment Program Agreement Review (City of Clearwater / City of Safety Harbor) In accordance with the terms of the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Clearwater, Florida and the City of Safety Harbor, Florida, entered into the Vt day of November 1999, the parties will review the agreement every three (3) years to confirm the cities are in mutual accord for continuation with the established provisions. Thus far, the agreement has satisfactorily enabled both parties to meet the requirements to implement, maintain, and enforce a pretreatment program in the City of Safety Harbor that controls discharges from all industrial users of the wastewater treatment system pursuant to requirements set out in 40CFR Part 403 and Florida Administrative Code 62-625 (Pretreatment). The current agreement was reviewed by Clearwater's Pretreatment Coordinator, Robert Powers, and Safety Harbor's Public Works Director, Raymond Boler, on July 24, 2009. The meeting revealed that the instrument is adequate and allows effective implementation of the respective ordinances (Clearwater 6393-99, modified 6828-01 and Safety Harbor 99-28, modified 2002- 19). Furthermore, the parties concur that the existing "agreement" should be maintained unchanged into the future, and should be scheduled for review in 2012.
