After a rain storm
(January 26 and 27), Project
personnel noticed cracks in the
columns at Piers 5L, 5R, 6L and
6R. The cracking on Pier 6R
was the most noticeable.
· Strong back beams have been
added to an end of the
cantilever to provide added
stability (already part of original
plan).
· Counterweight has been added
to the 6R cantilever to better
balance loads.
