by and between the CITY OF CLEARWATER, a municipal corporation,
of Pinellas County, Florida, party of the first part, hereinafter
referred to as the "City", and Hm.ffi BUILDERS, INC., a Florida
corporation, Developers of Betty Lane Heights 2nd Addition,
SANFO PARK HOMES, INC., a Florida corporation, Developers of
Stevenson Heights Subdivision, and WILLIA}l M. GOZA, JR., as
Trustee of Highland Terrace ~~nor pursuant to Trust Agreement
dated January 11, 1955, filed for record ~~rch 2, 1955, Public
Records of Pinellas County, Florida, parties of the second part,
hereinafter called the "Developers,"
WITNESSETH:
THAT WHEREAS, the City and the Developers have cooperated
in the furnishing of utilities and the development of the subdi-
visions set out above, and
WHEREAS, the Developers have formerly requested sewer
service and have verbally agreed to pay their proportionate share
of the cost thereof, and
WHEREAS, pumping equipment of larger capacity is needed
in the lift station providing sanitary sewer service to the afore-
mentioned subdivisions.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants
and promises hereof and in further consideration of other good
and valuable considerations,
THE PARTIES HERETO HEREBY AGREE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City will provide and install sewage pumping
equipment of a larger capacity in the sewage pumping station now
servicing Betty Lane Heights 2nd Addition, Stevenson Heights
Subdivision, and Highland Terrace ~~nor.
2. That the Developers shall pay within thirty (30) days
of the date of this agreement the City th~refor the following
amounts respectively according to the following schedule and (
calculations:

In the event that the total cost to the City is less than
Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($7,800.00), pro-rata refunds
will be made to the respective developers according to the fore-
going percentages.
3. The equipment and installation will be purchased and
accomplished according to the attached specifications which are
by reference made a part hereof.
4. No lots or plots not shown on the copy of the plats
of the several subdivisions hereinbefore set out, which copies
are attached hereto and are by reference made a part hereof shall
be connected.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunto set
their respective hands and corporate seals the day and year first
above written.

DETAIL SPECIFICATIONS
EQUIPMENT FOR KINGSHIGHWAY SEWAGE LIFT STATION
.
The Contractor shall furnish and deliver on the site
necessary equipment as specified herein.
The Cor.tractor shall examine the site to determine what
equipment shall be left in place.
l'iping
The Contractor shall furnish ne cessary addit ional piping;
unle$otherwise noted on the plans, all pipe shall be cast iron.
The cast iron pi;.>e shall conform to the A. ~'l. i~.T. A. Specifications
for Cast Iron Pipe, Class 150#. The pipe shall be Flange Pipe.
Cast Iron fittings and specials shall be suitable for the
required service and it shall confonn to the requiI"lements of A.W.W.A.
Standard Specifications for Cast Iron Special Castings. The flange
joints shall be made of the best commercial quality machine bolts
with asbestos composition or of corrugated copper
Valves snaIl be rough body and finished trimmings. Valves of
I!" and under shall be of brass, valves 2" and over shall be iron
body bronze mounted. Gate valves shall be double disc inside screw
type, operated by hand wheel, hand wrench or floor stand and it
shall be furnished with either bell ends or flanges as shown on the
drawings. Valves shall meet the requirements set forth by the
A.W.W.A. Standards and shall be designed for working pressure of
125 lbs. per square inch.
Equipment
The Contractor shall furnish a Pneumatic Ejector system
consisting of two receivers with necessary openin~s, valves and
connections; two motor driven rotary air compressors, and auto-
matic controls, if necessary.
capacity Ejector
The ejector shall discharge not less than 100 gallons at each
operation against a total discharge head of 25 feet, (Ir.cluding
pipe friction) at least once per minute continuously.
Receivers
Ejector receiver shall be cast iron with inlet and. discharge
nozzels at bottom. Inlet and discharge openings shall be separate
and on opposite sides of receiver.
Automatic Air Valves
Automatic air valves shall be bronze double piston type with-
out snrings, diaphragms, or stuffing boxes, mounted on cast iron
floor st~ld or wall brac~et and actuated by a pilot valve with a
renewable bronze seat on cast iron flanged support on the ejector
receiver. Pilot valve shall be operated by open cast iron bells
rigidly attached to bell rod without guides or sliding parts.
Valve equipment shall be entirely mechanical without electrical
devices or connections.

Equipment for Kingshighway Sewage Lift Station
Valves and Connections
Ejector receivers shall be fitted with non-clogging swing
check valves with rectangular water passages, solid bronze flaps
and hinges, renewable seats for discharge check valves, and inlet
check valves of the return bend type; bronze mounted, double disc
gate valves for inlet and discharge. All connections to ejector
receiver, except pilot valve connections, shall be flanged.
Air Controls
r2'r~e ejectors shall be equipped with all mecr:anical air and
exhaust control devices, including bronze double piston main air
valves actuated by bronze pilot slide valves. The pilot valves
shall Le controlled by two open cast iron bell floats and one
cast iron counterweight on each e.~ector unit with cast steel counter-
weie;ht lever and bronze shaft.
~o air-tight floats, float switches, electrodes, solenoid or
diaphragm valves or an:r electrical devices will be approved.

of interr'Jption of motor driven compressors or general air supply,
t he ejectors can be operated from portable engine driven compressors.
Compressors
The Contractor shall furnish two oil-lubricated rotary air
compressors to supply sUfficient air at reouisite pressure to
operate e,iector cOlltir.uously under t;1.e condit ions described above.
Compressor shall have metal shaft seals, and operate without
stuffing boxes or seal water at not over 1150 r.p.m. Compressor
unit shall be of the coupled fo:ur bearing type equipped \"lith
relief valve and check valve for the discharge are air cleaner
muffler for the inlet.
TlJe compressor shall be direct connected to a continuous
duty motor or ample horsepower for the required duty, and suit-
able for A.C. current, 220 volts, three phase, 60 cycle.
Tile Contractor shall furnish for the motor, if necessary,
a complete set of starting devices, including adjustable auto-
matic pressure switch to operate on a variation of not over 6
lbs. pressure, self-starter ~ld protective devices.
Air and Exhaust Pining
All pipe connections from compressor to ejector, air valves
and i~ecessary appu.rtenances shall be provided.
