RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED
Dear Mr. Wilson:
In accordance with Section 133.09 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Clearwater, I have reviewed your request for a temporary aidewalk installa-
tion waiver.
Since there are no s.idewalks within 200 feet of your property, you meet
the requirements as set forth in the aforementioned Code section. There-
fore, I am pleased to inform you that a temporary waiver of the sidewalk
installation requirement is granted on the above-referenced property.
Should it be determined that a sidewalk is required at your location in
the future, it will be installed by the assessment process.
truly yours,
J

REASON FOR REQUEST
ev't'
There are no sidewalks on the -TnJ.L th side of U. S. 19
for at least a mile both to the north and south of the subject property
There is not even an unpaved foot path because of the deep drainage ditch
along U. S. 19. A sidewalk in front of the sub;ect property would be of
no use to anyone as the customers of the mini warehouses under construction
would not use the sidewalk and there would be no foot traffic passing by
the sub;ect parcel. D.O.T. has future plans for both a sidewalk and
bicycle path in front of the property but the exact plans are indefinitp.
Section 133.09 of the Code of Ordinances of the City requires that all land that abuts
a public right-of-way, which is to bave new construction on it, either for residential,
commercial, industrial or other purposes, shall have sidewalks constructed by the Owner
on, across or adjacent thereto.
The Owner understands and agrees that if the waiver is granted, the City may install
sidewalks at a future date and assess the owner for the full cost of said sidewalks.
