WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, a Florida municipal corporation,
has acquired certain hereinaftor described real properties for road right
of way and other public use purposes; and
WHEREAS, said City of Clearwater desires that the Board of County
Commissioners of Pinellas County discharge any and all liens for taxes,
delinquent or current, held or owned by the County or the State of Florida
upon said lands heretofore acquired by said City of Clearwater and to
further provide that said lands shall be exempt from County taxation so
long as the same are owned and used for such public purpose; and
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes, 1963, 19Z. 59, Taxation; cancellation
of delinquent taxes upon lands used for road purposes, etc., grants to the
Board of County Commissioners of Pinellas County, Florida, full power and
authority to accomplish said request;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby formally requests the Board
of County Commissioners of Pinellas County; Florida, to take all formal
action necessary to cancel and discharge any and all liens for taxes,
delinquent or current, held or owned by Pinellas County or the State of
Florida, upon the hereinafter described lands acquired by the City of
